I am looking for Rust/systems work, protocol engineering, agent/coding tooling, or hardware-adjacent software. Open to contract or full-time work.
At my current job, I own nostr-canvas[0], a runtime for running untrusted third-party mini-apps inside compatible Nostr clients, written in Rust and run via WebAssembly. Sandboxed Lua scripts, mini-apps called Tiles, receive explicit capabilities, with capability enforcement implemented in Rust. This means a revoked capability takes effect inside the running worker. I also gave a talk[1] on it at bitcoin++ Nairobi in June 2026.
The same plugin runs in three independent clients with no shared UI code. I also wrote the specification: one NIP plus 26 numbered modules with a dependency graph and three conformance levels.
While working on this, I found and fixed a garbage-collector memory leak in the pure-Rust Lua interpreter [omnilua], and landed the fix upstream[2].
I also built Tile Studio[3], a vibe-coding environment for nostr-canvas applications.
Outside software, I have PCB design and fabrication experience, including an ESP32 Nostr remote signer and a Trezor Model 1 recreation modified for USB-C on the STM32F205. I designed, manufactured, and sold one of these as a complete product[4], including enclosure CAD, firmware, backend, instruction leaflet, and the USB programmer used during assembly.
More recently, I have been working on tooling around coding agents in the form of aidos[5]: a ticketing and verification system built on DeepSeek Harness. Tickets move through a state machine with transition checks that prevent work from being missed and require work to be verifiable. I have also contributed upstream fixes to DSH and plugins in its ecosystem.
Technologies: Rust, TypeScript, C, C++, Lua, Python, WebAssembly, sandboxing/capability security, plugin runtimes, language tooling, AI development tooling, Nostr, Bitcoin protocols (PSBT, Taproot, BIP-375), Deno, Node, React, Postgres, SQLite, Linux, Docker, ESP32/ESP8266/STM32, EasyEDA, OpenSCAD.
