Hi!

My name is Brandon.

I'm a backend and platform dev with a little over 5 years of experience, most recently as an SRE at Datadog for about 3 years before I quit. If you want to see for yourself the kind of things I’m good at, check out Cloudy But No Rain (https://www.cbnr.xyz, working title will probably change soon) — I built the whole thing from scratch and run it myself on bare-metal k8s.

Here’s what I’m looking for in a job:

* Small company (no more than ~25 developers) — I love knowing everyone I work with on a personal level.

* Financially sustainable — this means “at least profitable”, even better are bootstraps, nonprofits, and co-ops!

* Product oriented — my favorite work is when folks get together to iterate on something people love to use.

And finally (thanks a bunch if you’re reading all this), I think my biggest strength is that I give a shit. Always, about everything — I make time to write great documentation, I jump in to help in other people’s incidents, I create a deluge of comments when someone sends me a doc for feedback. I find a lot of joy in doing good work and I believe that’s why people often seem to really enjoy having me on their team.

If you want to work with someone like that, I’d love to see an email from you. Thanks!
