Graphistry / US DOJ | Data - Multiple | Full-time | US DC/Virgnia metro area (hybrid on-site + WFH) | $150-200K salary; + more in total compensation

Graphistry's visual graph AI platform gets used by analysts all the way from misinformation investigations to supply chain planning to understanding security breaches. Our R&D and OSS helped start projects like GPU data frame computing (Nvidia RAPIDS) and Apache Arrow. Our team currently splits between building the core platform and innovating alongside key customers, such as building out graph neural nets with organizations facing massive digital fraud + hacks. We have a variety of openings, and an especially time sensitive one is embedded within the US DOJ.

DOJ team: A new US DOJ analytics team is being created to work on initiatives with top leaders. There are a couple of broad mission themes for the year, with one of the biggest expectations is change. We are looking for either mid or senior people in all things data (analysis, analytics, data engineering, data science) for hands-on work with the ability to impact regional offices and global programs. Lead-from-the-front leadership opportunities as well. Your time will be primarily on pushing the mission boundary with the DOJ using analytics, and secondarily working with the the rest of the Graphistry team to advance our platform and work with US Gov users.

Data roles can be graph heavy or traditional. Experiences with spark, dask, sql, etl, pydata, pytorch, NLP, tableau, powerbi, streamlit, and jupyter are a plus. Likely to learn Graphistry, graph, and our GPU ecosystem as you go -- cudf, DGL + PyTorch Geometric, and more. Experiences with gov data a plus (crime, health, cyber), and we can help with gov clearance process.

https://www.graphistry.com/careers for reaching out. We are actively looking so looking forward to you taking the first step!

PLDB.com | CSV builder | Remote only | Anywhere

PLDB is mostly a public domain CSV file: https://pldb.com/docs/csv.html.

My full time job is to make that CSV file great.

I would love to find other people that are as enthusiastic about doing that as me.

The job right now entails a lot of manual data entry and research, writing crawlers, writing parsers, writing and connecting DL and NLP tools.

The CSV file is currently 4k rows by 300 columns but mostly blanks. It should probably be closer to 10k rows by 1,000 columns and a lot less sparse.

You can just start submitting code and data here and we can go from there, or send questions to breck@pldb.com.

https://github.com/breck7/pldb

If it's the right fit I can pay you what you need.

Tangram | Rust/Linux Programmer | Remote (USA) | Full Time At Tangram, we are making a programmable build system and package manager designed to rescue developers from "dependency hell" and make builds simple, reproducible, cacheable, and distributable. Check out the code samples here: https://www.tangram.dev . We are looking to work with programmers who have experience with systems programming, Linux, and Rust. As a…

Wasn't tangram previously an easy to use ML tool? I thought the product looked pretty neat, would be interested in reading a post on the pivot if there is one.

There are several Tangram companies out there. The company you're thinking of is now called Modelfox (https://www.modelfox.dev/), but used to own the https://tangram.dev domain.

This company (https://tangram.dev) is a different entity entirely.

There is also Tangram Vision (https://www.tangramvision.com) which is a startup focused on multi-sensor calibration and sensor-fusion. They have been around since 2020, while the other Tangram's out there are relatively newer.

Disclaimer: I am an employee of Tangram Vision.

Meliora Therapeutics | San Francisco, CA and Full Remote | Full-time

Meliora Therapeutics is leveraging modern biology and machine learning to create a step change in the efficiency of cancer drug development. In short, the vast majority of cancer drugs fail in clinical trials, and off-target effects are often to blame. Our platform has already surfaced a number of interesting candidate drugs with promising laboratory validation and we are just getting started.

Our founding team has strong experience in software, machine learning, and biology developed through experience at Google, Verily, Benchling, and the Yale School of Medicine to complement advanced degrees from universities such as MIT, Princeton, and UPenn. We are moving with urgency to capitalize on the opportunity ahead of us, and are fresh off a seed round financing. We are backed by leading funds who were early investors in world class companies such as Gilead, Recursion, Insitro, Benchling, and others.

We're looking for talented, ambitious, and creative technical experts to join us in building a machine learning-driven cancer drug development engine. Previous experience in biology or computational biology is not required for every role.
