The sports betting and fantasy sports space is massive ($170bn in the US), growing and underserved from a product and content perspective, and we have the talent, domain expertise and passion to win the space. For BE Devs: The candidate will work as part of a team responsible for enhancing and supporting our existing applications to meet the changing needs of our business. They will work collaboratively with the team to decompose requirements into actionable tasks and ensure timely features delivery. Node.js and C# skills are preferred.

For FE Devs: This is a hands-on role that will require engineering but also the ability to understand the business goal for a given project. A successful candidate will have experience with React, help improve the architecture of our code base, and be able to spec out complex technical challenges.

For iOS Devs: This is a hands on role that will require a mix of engineering and management. The successful candidate will help shape the architecture and the future of our mobile products across iOS and Android, and has experience with Swift and React Native.

Truework is hiring frontend, backend, infrastructure, and security software engineers to help overhaul employment and income verification in the United States.

Banks and background check providers often request employment and income data from your current and former employers to approve mortgages and loans or complete pre-employment screening. Your employer likely shares important details about your employment, including your title, job duration, and wages, with third party credit agencies to fulfill these requests. Unfortunately, this process is not transparent for employees and can be slow and error-prone for employers and verifiers.

Truework is building a modern, consent-driven employment and income verification platform to give employees visibility and control into how their employment information is shared with others. We are growing quickly and currently handle thousands of verifications every month, which has enabled the approval of billions of dollars in loans and helps employees in regulated professions (e.g. nursing) start work more quickly than before. Our engineering team is still small, which means you’ll play big a part in shaping the future of Truework, and your work will have a significant impact and visibility. Requirements:

* Proven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer or similar role

* Hands-on coding experience with Java. Knowledge of JVM performance tuning is a major plus

* Deep knowledge of operating systems internals, low level networking and TCP/IP internals

* Hands-on experience with messaging middleware products (Solace, JMS, Kafka)

* Understanding of data technologies: RDBMs (Oracle, PostgreSQL etc.), IMDGs (Hazelcast, Gemfire etc.)

* Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/MacOS environments

* Hands-on experience working in cloud environments (EC2, Google Cloud etc.)

* Familiarity with remote help desk software (e.g. Zendesk and JIRA)

We are a well-funded pre-seed stage startup with an aim to reorganize the world's information.

The search engines we know and love are well-suited for consumer application, but they are not designed for enterprise use cases. Too many office hours are spent doing repetitive web research which requires basic reading and writing comprehension. Up until now, these tasks have been just out of reach from automation, but with the recent advancements in language modeling they are now possible.

Our first product is a customer analysis platform for enterprise revenue teams. Our customers love our product because it saves them hours of tedious work reading through text to find the insights they need. As such, we've been able to grow organically through word-of-mouth referrals. We are currently preparing for 10X users to onboard.

On a high level - our data pipeline takes a configuration from our users about target companies and questions they need answered, ingests natural language data from the web, and extracts snippets of information about the target companies that answer our users' research questions.

The engineering roadmap for the next 6 months includes implementation of more sophisticated text analytics and processing features, improving the efficiency and scalability of our data pipeline, and exposing more filters and controls to our users via our UI. Our stack is postgreSQL, Python, GraphQL, React & Typescript.

We are a small team of physicists and computer scientists (Cambridge, Imperial, Palantir, CERN) based in London. We will be operating remotely until it is safe to consider an alternative. We intend to open an office in London when it is safe to do so, but we will be flexible to remote.
