Engineering lead / senior full-stack engineer, 7+ years across games and backend. Currently building DreamForge, an AI game platform where a player's prompt becomes a playable game. I own the cloud backend (ASP.NET Core 8 on Azure, 200+ endpoints) and the AI orchestration layer across ~30 providers (LLM, image, video, 3D, voice, music) with automatic failover and per-call cost accounting - a provider migration I ran cut our largest variable cost by over 10x. Also built a crash-to-fix pipeline: production exceptions triaged by an LLM, debugged by an AI agent in a cloud container, opened as PRs in Slack.
Previously VP R&D at a mobile gaming startup (led 6 engineers, live platform at 30K+ daily API requests), and before that helped ship GRIME on Steam (2021).
US, Canadian and Israeli citizen, work-authorized in all three.
Looking for: lead/EM or senior IC roles in games, game infrastructure, C#/.NET backend, or applied AI. Full-time or contract.

#365Remote: Yes, remote only
Willing to relocate: No
Technologies: Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Sidekiq, Hotwire, Python, TypeScript/React, Go, Elixir/Phoenix/Ecto, AWS, Kubernetes, Playwright

I run Levelbrook Consulting, a Rails-first practice on the US west coast. Ten years shipping production backends, the last several as senior engineer on a multi-tenant B2B platform that grew from roughly $4M to $13M ARR. Available now for contract, freelance or C2C, flexible on rate, and happy to start small so you can see the work first.
Recent work I can talk about in detail:
* Cut $444k out of a Glacier bill covering 2.6 PB of objects.
* Rearchitecting the upload pipeline behind about 3 PB of ingest onto Elixir, Phoenix and Ecto.
* Deployed DINOv3 on Kubernetes for vehicle damage comparison: embed each new photo, cosine-similarity it against that vehicle's own history, surface the prior shot from the same angle. Turns "is this damage new?" into a diff.
* Built an MCP server so support could run data entry through Claude as a review queue, approving or rejecting proposed changes the way an engineer reviews a pull request.
* Tripled my year over year PR output with agentic development: Claude Code, Greptile, GitHub Actions, Playwright. On a large real codebase, not a toy.
Pushing deliberately into Go and Python. I was at GopherCon this year and published two original Go tools:
* tether (https://github.com/tachyurgy/tether), static goroutine leak analyzer on x/tools/go/analysis. Benchmarked on the whole Go 1.25 stdlib; found a real WaitGroup hang in database/sql's tests.
* weave (https://github.com/tachyurgy/weave), deterministic interleaving explorer, roughly what Loom is for Java. Stateless DFS with replay, vector clock race detection, delta debugging.
Also: https://demo.levelbrook.com (Rails 8 + Turbo 8 morphing, SSE LLM streaming), ai_stream on RubyGems (Ruby impl of the Vercel AI SDK stream protocol), https://lingua.levelbrook.com.
Rails is where I am fastest but I have shipped Python and JS for years and I am not precious about the stack. Backlog nobody has time for, a migration that keeps slipping, a pipeline that needs an owner: email me.

Senior Software Engineer and Technical Lead, 7+ years at Visa, covering the full stack of an AI platform: the agent layer, the data and retrieval systems beneath it, and the Kubernetes and delivery infrastructure beneath that. I have built and operated each layer in production, an uncommon combination in a field where most practitioners have depth in one.
I currently lead a production LangGraph multi-agent system serving enterprise analysts - agent orchestration, retrieval architecture, natural-language querying with a validation layer over generated SQL, ingestion across 15+ sources, and trace-level evaluation of retrieval quality. Previously: self-managed Kubernetes across 900+ nodes with its networking, policy, GitOps and scheduling stack; an organisation-wide OpenSearch cluster; and self-service CI/CD and secrets platforms adopted by 50+ teams.
My judgement runs toward reliability over novelty - deterministic paths where they suffice, observability instrumented before it is needed, build-versus-buy decided on operational cost. As a lead I own architecture and interface contracts across several engineering pods, and invest heavily in mentoring. Community: contributions to CPython, pytest and Trino; co-organiser of BangPypers.
Seeking senior or staff roles in AI platform engineering, agentic systems, or platform/infrastructure engineering, where platform work is treated as a product discipline.

I have a product mindset and aim to model data patterns in order to both emphasise features and to uncover the underlying driving forces that lead to the patterns. I am a hypergeneralist with a specialty in framing it through systems thinking and prefer to tailor my approach to whatever the problem is, as opposed to specializing in one field repeatedly.
I feel I bring a very direct, honest, sincere approach to solving problems without overooking complexity nor attempting to pigeonhole solutions.

Product Designer with 4+ years of experience taking products from ambiguous ideas to production-ready experiences.
I work across the full product design process, from understanding the problem and shaping the user experience to designing high-fidelity interfaces, building prototypes, and collaborating with engineering to ship.
My experience includes AI products, enterprise software, fintech, B2B and B2C SaaS, healthcare, and early-stage startups. I've designed zero-to-one products, simplified complex workflows, made AI outputs more understandable for users, and built scalable design systems.
One of my strengths is bridging design and development. I understand frontend constraints and can work with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React, including implementing production interfaces when needed. This allows me to collaborate closely with engineers and make design decisions that are grounded in how the product will actually be built.
I use AI extensively throughout my design and development workflow, particularly for exploration, prototyping, and implementation, while applying judgment rather than treating AI output as automatically correct.
I'm particularly interested in working with startups and teams where I can collaborate closely with founders and engineers, take ownership of meaningful problems, and help turn ideas into products people genuinely want to use.
MS in Human-Computer Interaction from Arizona State University. No visa sponsorship required. Open to full-time, contract, remote, hybrid, and relocation opportunities across the US.
