Portal Innovations is a life sciences venture platform building tools to surface high-potential science and researchers. We’re hiring a part-time Product Engineer (20 hrs/week, Chicago only) to extend Stargaze, our AI-driven innovation discovery toolkit.

Tech stack: Python, Postgres, React, AWS, Modal, Airflow Role: Backend + front-end development, new feature buildout, infrastructure support You: Comfortable across the stack. Energized by the idea of building software for scientists, within a venture platform. (See link below) Own your work and can work independently while collaborating with non-technical stakeholders.

Bonus: Role could grow into full-time for the right person.

We are looking for a course producer and editor to help us create more programming and computer science courses on Boot.dev!

If you’re a highly technical developer with a love for teaching, this could be the perfect role for you! Your main responsibility will be to work with course authors and our in-house engineering team to produce new high-quality interactive courses on the Boot.dev learning platform. Our courses are highly engaging with coding challenges and quizzes along the way. They are mostly written (in Markdown), however, each course also typically includes 5-10 explainer videos that our in-house animators and editors help create visuals for.

If you're interested in low-level, resource-constrained and privileged execution environments, consider joining our team of compiler, OS, and Rust enthusiasts.

At Immunant, we spend much time staring at weird build errors, ISA or ABI documentation, or digging through obscure build systems or C code written 20 years ago. In any case, we strive to make the systems we're working on more secure, more efficient, and have more Rust in them (whenever we get a chance).

We also maintain and enhance the fully open source c2rust translation framework.

If you have recent, professional experience with C/C++ and Rust and know about operating systems, hypervisor internals, or compilers, we'd love to hear from you.
