Estuary | US-Based / Remote | Full-time – https://estuary.dev/

Estuary is a VC-backed, post–Series A startup powering right-time data replication and transform — from sub-second CDC replication to terabyte-scale OLAP data flows.

We’re open-source, developer-first, and focused on making data movement radically simpler across both our Platform and Applications layers.

We’re hiring for:

Senior & Staff Backend Engineers

5+ years backend experience; Go required, Rust a plus. Own core systems powering real-time data pipelines. Build complex API/database integrations, improve connector frameworks, and tackle deep challenges in performance, reliability, and developer experience.

Backend Engineer (Integrations) – 2–4 years of backend experience. Help expand and maintain our catalog of real-time data connectors to SaaS tools using Python. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers to build and optimize integrations with third-party systems, while deepening your skills in infrastructure and stream processing.

Solutions Engineer - Work with the founding team to help customers use Estuary effectively. Collaborate closely with engineering and product, shape how users integrate real-time data, and feed insights back into product development.

What we’re looking for: Engineers who care about building reliable, maintainable systems and enjoy working with complex APIs and data flows. We value curiosity, clear communication, and a willingness to learn.

Bonus points for experience with CDC tools, open source contributions, or fast-paced startups.

Sentinel Defense Technologies | Remote (Global) | Equity → Pre-Seed Closing

We build real-time civilian threat intelligence for conflict zones. Multi-model AI pipeline (Gemini 3 Pro / Flash) ingests OSINT from verified sources, runs it through a gated verification system, and pushes geolocated alerts to offline-first mobile clients. Think of it as a personal intelligence analyst for non-combatants — on a phone that works on 2G.

This is not a pitch deck. We have a working system (v1.0.34): backend is live, Flutter apps are approved on both App Store and Play Store, multi-gate AI pipeline is processing real OSINT, admin console has human-in-the-loop verification for high-severity alerts, and we just made our first hire. 73 candidates vetted, 1 accepted (Senior AI/Backend Engineer — now owns the AI verification pipeline). Pre-seed is imminent with multiple NGO grant applications under review (WFP, IRC Airbel, DRK Foundation).

*We need one person:*

*Systems Architect / Founding Backend Engineer* You will own the Django backend, MongoDB document schemas, and infrastructure that everything else runs on top of. Our AI pipeline lead handles the Gemini orchestration — you own the data layer, the API surface, the deployment pipeline, and the system design that makes it all reliable at scale. A bug in this system isn't a 500 error — it's a missed warning in a conflict zone.

Must have: Python/Django (production), MongoDB, system design thinking. Strong plus: DevOps (Docker, AWS), LLM integration, Flutter, OSINT, geospatial.

We also welcome strong full-stack implementation engineers who ship fast and want founding-team equity. Same stack.

*Compensation (No BS):*

- Now: Sweat equity (12-18% SA / 5-10% FSD, 4yr vest, 1yr cliff). This is founding-team ownership. - Pre-Seed (closing): $3,000/month + equity. - Seed (6-12 months): 75% market salary + equity. Increases from there.

If you need full salary today, this is not for you. If you want to build something where the stakes are real and you're willing to bet on yourself to get there — we should talk.

*Stack:* Python 3.9+, Django 4.1.13, MongoDB, Flutter, Vertex AI (Gemini 3 Pro / 2.5 Flash / 3 Flash Preview), Docker, AWS.

*Apply:* PeterJFrancoIII@gmail.com — Resume or GitHub + what you'd build in your first week.

Do you have offices in all those cities, or why are you listing them? I will downvote your and all other posts who do this unless you reply, because I think you are doing this to appear when people search for specific location.

We do have a physical footprint in each of those cities, and there is real value in being able to actually see our product and service in person by being in our service area. We can provide a desk with real co-workers in any of those cities. See https://www.rinse.com/contact/#locations-heading Most developers prefer to work from home, though! We're fully remote, and are free to mostly work from home or a co-working f…

Am I crazy if I hate remote?

I don't make the rules here, so I am going to remove the downvote, but I believe there should be a way to easily search for jobs that aren't remote.

I appreciate your response.

edit: I can't remove it anymore

Checkly | Multiple Roles | REMOTE | Full time | https://www.checklyhq.com/ Checkly helps engineers build reliable products by unifying testing, monitoring and observability. OpenTelemetry, Playwright, and Monitoring as Code are our foundation for unifying performance and reliability. UTC-3 seems like a weird limit. UTC-2 and UTC-3 are basically just ocean. So the only real places that qualify are Buenos Aires and Coastal Brazil.

Also, not sure what the point of requiring that even is. There are plenty of candidates that would be willing to work those time ranges on the periphery. It's no different than getting an evening/graveyard shift at a domestic company, after all.

Just wanna say, as a candidate, your product is so good. 1000x less annoying to use than alternatives.

Thanks for the shout out! Also open to feedback, if we could make it 10000x less annoying.

I have to temporarily whitelist 5+ domains, including google domains, to submit an app to the site. More annoying than average I'd say.

Your position detail pages apparently require WebGL to prevent them from "crashing." That and "complex SPA" in the text (found from reader mode) tell me you might very well be overengineered.
