Other way around. That disables the AI chatbot monstrosity at the top of the page. But only if you're logged in and/or don't clear your cookies. The AI word salad summaries for each individual page have no toggle (unless you count !g).
I actually have two settings in the AI features settings area: one for "chat" and another for "assist" -- which I think is the word salad summaries? I've got chat set to Off and assist set to Never. Searching 'octatrack' has the wikipedia page on the top right as a summary box thing. no ai word salad for me :shrug:
I'm the inverse, I still 90% of the time use search engines, mostly Google. LLM-s can't help me with researching Hungarian companies offering screws, furniture, TV-s etc I need for my home renovation. It can't find me the best route to go to a cafe, lookup users, find information on famous people. Google is also faster than me typing a good prompt. Google offered me a few hits with existing businesses, with ChatGPT I need to do another query.
Out of curiosity I tried it and it did take me to a wholesale company (single result), but the Google results are better with cheaper options (multiple good results), I can also parse the list faster with my eye.

It did take more than a few minutes to do the research, looks thorough though.
I won't deny LLMs can be useful, but they're like the news: double-check and form your own conclusions.
For everything else, I still use search.
