Hi, I'm currently working in academia as an Assistant Professor of Quantitative Methods at the Social Sciences Department and I'm working on transitioning to the industry. I obtained my PhD in 2019 and have been working on computational and quantitative methods since then. My latest project is the R package transforEmotion, which is used for sentiment analysis and emotion detection in text, images, and videos: https://github.com/atomashevic/transforEmotion.

I have experience with data science/ML projects in academia, as well as consulting for NGOs and companies. I'm open to remote work possibilities as a full-time data scientist or research scientist. I'm eager to work on challenging technical or business problems. Please reach out if you think I might be a good fit for your team!

Hello, I am a seasoned full-stack web developer with over fifteen years of experience. Throughout my career, I've mainly gone back and forth between Rails and Node, with occasional forays into SPAs. I worked with a variety of clients - from small startups to enterprises.

I like to understand the business before coding. I like to translate this understanding into automated scenarios and tests. I prefer clear over clever. I like to deploy fast, small, and often. I like to know about problems in production before the users. I like to talk to the users. I like to talk to the business. I like to talk to the colleagues and pair programming. And, above all, I like coding - it's not just a job, it's a passion.

Hello! I'm Marwan, a software engineer with 4 years of experience in developing modern full-stack applications. I am the co-creator of Pennant, an open-source computational notebook designed to facilitate collaborative coding through real-time interaction and shared execution environments. I also actively contribute to the open-source community, with recent efforts focused on enhancing ZenML's MLOps framework. At ZenML, I've contributed to developing a VSCode extension to facilitate ML workflows and MLOps, and integrated a comprehensive testing framework for AWS Deployments. I'm actively seeking roles that offer technical challenges and align with my skill set.

The list of technologies is incomplete as I possess a comprehensive skill set in various technologies, and I have a penchant for swiftly acquiring proficiency in new ones. My coding journey, which began in my childhood, has been a constant source of passion, with problem-solving emerging as a particularly enjoyable aspect. Currently in my late 20s, I am still very deeply committed and dedicated to software engineering.

Acknowledging my strengths and weaknesses, I must note that graphic design and related visual aspects have consistently been a challenge for me. Consequently, I naturally gravitate towards backend development, where my skills and interests align most.

My extensive freelancing experience spans a significant duration, during which I primarily worked independently or in small groups of 1-2 individuals. Despite this, I have consistently received positive feedback, highlighting my ability to collaborate effectively. I find joy in connecting with people, and fostering positive working relationships has been a consistent trait in my professional journey.

Thank you.
