Nexvia | hybrid / onsite | Luxembourg, Luxembourg | Software engineer, senior, also looking for an intern

Nexvia is a modern real estate agency. I bet you were not expecting to read this on Hacker News ;-)

We are an hybrid company, with an old fashion business and revenue stream that enables us to be self funded and make our own choices. At the same time, we are using software to enhance our users', customers' and advisers' experience. We view technology as a way to empower people and try to deploy it in that direction.

Part of our business is also to sell market monitoring software to banks.

All our software has been and is being built internally. We are small so we pick our battles.

We work with PHP Laravel and React for the core of our web applications. We also use Python (for infrastructure management, build tools, data processing and secondary applications) and AWS.

Cool things: your work is making people's life easier, fluid interaction with everyone (small company), contribution on our technology choices.

You can discover more and apply through our site https://www.nexvia.lu/jobs or find a way to contact me on my profile.

Carebit | Full Stack Ruby on Rails + React Mid/Senior Product Engineer | Remote | Full-Time

Carebit is a young, design-led healthcare technology company helping hundreds of private doctors across the UK run their practices more effectively and efficiently with our web platform, along with hundreds of thousands of their patients.

You’ll consider yourself to be a mid-senior level developer with solid technical ability and good communication, but what really sets you apart is your interest in product engineering [https://blog.pragmaticengineer.com/the-product-minded-engine...]. You’re not so interested in pumping out leetcode, but instead you’re looking for a rewarding, creative environment in which to write, prototype, iterate and ship where your work has immediate real-world impact on doctors and patients.

Our loyal customers - cancer experts, doctors, secretaries and other medical staff - love our product, are generous with feedback, and are chomping at the bit to help build a best-of-breed platform with us. Having tripled in revenue in 2022, we’re now looking for a curious, empathetic and product-focused mid/senior full-stack Rails & React developer with a strong focus on product to help them and us on this mission.

We are a bootstrapped, profitable and fully-remote company, and we intend to keep it that way. Having been remote from day 1, we believe in its benefits.

Requirements:

* Proven ability to take a brief idea from a customer to a designed, shipped and tested feature that wows, and even goes beyond the brief

* Ability to see the big picture when building a feature (e.g. how it can be made modular or flexible to accommodate changes in future, or where else could it be deployed in the Carebit application)

* A keen eye for UI and UX, colour, simplicity and hierarchy in design

* 3+ years of Ruby on Rails

* 3+ years of React

Benefits:

* Salary in the range of £70k-100k + annual bonus depending on experience

* Async work (minimal meetings)

* Fully remote within 4 hours of UTC (if UK based, we usually meet up in London every 2-3 months)

* MacBook Pro, ergonomic chair and anything else you need to do your best work

Please reach out to hiring AT carebit DOT co and introduce yourself with examples of products you have worked on - shipped or not!
