Canonical | https://canonical.com/careers | Fully Remote (Global) If you would like to be part of the future of open-source software, then please take a look at the positions we have available. In the SaaS Engineering organization alone (which I lead), we have six positions: Engineering Manager - Platform Services, Launchpad - https://canonical.com/careers/2290636 Engineering Manager - Ubuntu Systems Management - htt…

I have to say that over my 20 years of experience in engineering, I have never seen a worse candidate experience than Canonical. After spending probably 20-30 hours of interviews, tests, prep and jumping through hoops with people, getting a generic rejection notice with less details than most automated filters wasn't just a punch to the gut, it was actually incredibly insulting.

In fact it was such an insult that it has turned me off ever using any Canonical products or services and I will ensure in the future that none of my organizations use them either.

There is a reason Canonical has so many unfilled, open positions and it isn't because of their meteoric growth.
