Post Up | Full time | Senior Backend Engineer | Onsite | Vancouver, BC (Hybrid) | Salary: $120-$130k CAD | https://www.postup.pro

We're building the Databricks for content production, starting with post. Our orchestration engine coordinates pipelines end to end and turns post-production workflows into a persistent graph of assets and transformations, which are deterministic, verifiable, and nearly instant at scale, powered by a high-performance compute layer. We're building this AI-native from the ground up; ML inference is embedded throughout the pipeline, not bolted on.

Stack: On-prem, HPC clusters, distributed storage systems, GPU pipelines, real-time video compute.

We're looking for our founding senior backend engineer who wants to work on genuinely challenging infrastructure problems across distributed systems and media processing with immense scale. Should be familiar with Golang, Postgres, Distributed systems, Distributed filesystems (e.g. HDFS, Ceph, etc). If that sounds interesting, reach out directly to me at wilson@postup.pro.

Senior Python Backend Engineer | REMOTE (EMEA/APAC)

We’re looking for Python backend engineers to work on a trustless supercluster of performance-proofed GPU-enabled sandboxed docker container runners controlled by truly decentralized algorithms (not just PAXOS or RAFT).

Wow, that was a mouthful...

If you found it interesting, join Reef Technologies and tackle complex technical challenges like this on your own terms:

Contribute from wherever you like—we are fully remote Set your own time commitment, as long as it’s at least 30h per week See how we work in our handbook: github.com/reef-technologies/handbook Influence the way we operate through our Sociocracy 3.0 decision-making process

Salary on a B2B contract:

45-70 USD or 180-280 PLN per hour Flexible work schedule (as measured with a time tracker) We automatically adjust rates based on inflation twice a year

We're looking for someone with 5+ years of programming experience, including at least a year with Python (including opensource and significant personal projects).

So, what do you think? You don't even need a CV; just go to https://careers.reef.pl/?utm_source=hackernews and shoot a few quick commands to apply.

Thank you for flagging this, that definitely shouldn't be happening. Possibly we have an over-zealous spam filter. If you and your friend are open to it, please email me at pca@[company].com and I will personally look into it.

This is a classic example of why generic ATS filters and keyword-based AI fail both candidates and EMs. When the screening process is a black box, you lose high-signal candidates before a human even sees their CV. I'm building Taknut ( https://taknut.com ) specifically to solve this for Engineering Managers. Instead of auto-rejecting, it uses a framework to generate interview guides rooted in the candidate's actual p…

There is something up with your hiring system. I shared this post with a friend who applied, and they got an instant rejection. This is a data engineer with 4+ years experience in your stack and a degree in nuclear engineering to boot. Maybe not an ultimate hire but clearly not someone you should be auto-rejecting.
