Hi HN! I'm a senior software engineer with 11+ years of experience, looking for a job as I move to the US. Over the years, I've consulted both senior and junior software engineers on a variety of technical problems, and even ran a few programming courses for kids myself. As a result of my experience with contributing to open-source software, I enjoy writing documentation and not leaving it as an afterthought. When debugging, I can dive deep into codebases I've never seen before. In the future, I wish to grow in the area of improving end-user experience.

Location: Southern Pennsylvania, USA Remote: Yes, but willing to drive to Pittsburgh or Philadelphia occasionally or fly out a few times a year. Willing to relocate: No Technologies: Python, Pants, Numpy, Mypy, Pytest, Ruff, Pydantic, C++, Rust, GitLab CI, Docker, Docker Compose, AWS (especially S3, EC2, ECR, Kinesis Video Streams), Terraform, New Relic, Linux, Bash, Nvidia Jetson, Triton, Intel RealSense, OpenCV, Op…

Curiosity, what do you mean by "Southern Pennsylvania"?

I am from Pennsylvania, attended Penn State, and I have lived in many different towns throughout the state including south-central ones. I've befriended yinzers and yousers. But I have never heard "Southern Pennsylvania" before.

My mind boggles. Is this some variation on "Little Washington"? Is this a Philadelphian way to simplify "Southeastern" and to therefore ignore, "SEPTA" notwithstanding, the hundreds of miles west of Philly? Are you near Chambersburg? Is this some way to describe commuting suburbs into northern Maryland? Is this some play on the Mason-Dixon line and you are actually in Maryland?

Compare https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regions_of_Pennsylvania

FWIW, if you'd said "Northern Pennsylvania" it wouldn't prompt similar boggling. I go north of I-80 only when westbound and pulling off for gas. ;)

I am an electrical engineer based in Ontario, Canada. I'm very interested in the energy transition, especially the shift to electric vehicles, electric heat and the opportunities this creates in the electricity sector.

Looking for contract, part-time or volunteer work, specifically in renewable energy or smart grid consulting. I can also help write/review grant applications for Canadian federal/provincial support, but outside my areas of direct work.

Preferably smart grid technology, wind energy, solar PV, energy policy. Happy to chat about the long term revenue streams on the electricity grid, especially opportunities on the distribution system.

Location: Remote, prefer opportunities in US/Canada

Experience - Fifteen years total. Wind energy design background (Netherlands), Power systems degrees, experience working with the Canadian Federal government.

Remote: Yes, please.

Willing to relocate: No.

Graduated with my B.S. in CIS in May '22. Had trouble finding work in my field, and ended up taking local work out of industry. Then life got busy for a bit. I love coding and am excited to jump back into the space!

Hey my name is Matt.

I've done front end for years and years, I've done a bit of everything, I know everyone's hyped about React now but I really loved working with native Web Components and the Lit library, I'd love a chance to do that again. I've also been wanting to get back into fullstack dev - I used to sling around a fair amount of PHP+MySQL, mostly for WordPress purposes back in the day, and it'd be fun to slide into a position that would allow me to brush up on those skills.

Mostly, I just want to do cool work with a cool team of people. If you've got something along those lines on offer, I'd love to hear from you!
