#323This startup is building the AI platform for corporate finance and starting in a clever niche. Its mission is to end-to-end automate key finance and accounting workflows. Corporate finance is one of the top 10 most common professions in the United State and plagued with error prone manual work. They believe that LLMs are going to transform professional services as we know it and corporate finance will be among the first professions to feel it. They raised a seed round earlier this year and are currently live with multiple large firms. They’re progressing rapidly and plan to raise a Series A in the next year. All positions are 5 days in office in Manhattan NYC.

#326Earlier quoted context omitted.
That’s actually an extremely attractive proposition to work in a Perl shop. It’s the same deal as Lisp or Haskell or Erlang shops: you know you’ll be surrounded by top notch talent!
I think that’s really weird. Perl was mostly replaced by PHP, and nobody thinks PHP programmers are any good.

#330Do you care about clean energy? Like remote culture and a global company that still feels like a startup?
Only been around 8 years, but we're the largest energy retailer in the UK (100% renewable electricity), do wind and power generation all over the world, and just bought a heat pump factory because we couldn't buy them fast enough.
Everything we do is powered with our own software, Kraken. For those who've worked with energy tech/energy utility software, you'll appreciate that it needed to change :)
Hiring globally in a variety of roles (https://octopus.energy/careers/join-us/#/), ranging from senior platform roles to entry level backend developers.
Feel free to apply on our careers page, and more than happy to share more about the org and mission at tagg.jefferson@kraken.tech .
