I don't want to be a jerk or a anything but since you brought up a specific fee.. A "basic OpenAI chat bot" is not necessarily complex. I live very frugally and can build the same type of system for $3500 if it's a two week project. See my comment on this page. Will be open for work in a few weeks. runvnc@gmail.com

I've detached this post from https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=36960506 . You're more than welcome to post your own entry to the thread but please don't do this to someone else's.

Ok I understand sorry. Ordinarily I would never reply to a hiring like that but he put it in a unique context of "here is a service I offer for a fixed price, here is the price" where he is obviously trying to get $15000 for two days of work if possible. Seemed like way overbilled and also not a normal hiring post. Anyway, sorry. I did post my own entry.

Hey! I’m AJ, a seasoned software engineering leader with a robust background in developing and managing high-performing engineering teams as well as delivering longterm solutions. Some key highlights include:
  * Orchestrating a plan at a Series B startup to expand the engineering department from 25 to over 80 employees as the company size doubled and two more rounds were raised totaling $143 million
  * Ensuring that 50% of my 11 direct reports achieved promotions, while maintaining 0% turnover for two years (2021-2023)
  * Championing greenfield project launches, contributing to an additional $60 million in revenue
  * Won a global hackathon put on by the US State Department to help deter the use of illegal animal products and unethical farming practices during online shopping
Although I’m looking for the right, longterm fit, I’m open to contract or consulting work. I can do anything from coming in to fix a bunch of legacy Angular code to helping guide your engineering team go through hyperscale so your culture scales with it.

I'm a former UX designer, looking to start a career as a full stack developer. I was always interested and got involved with web development, and my colleagues at my previous job used to call me "full stack designer", because I would code some prototypes (and sometimes even some quick solutions to clients), and was pretty good at bridging the design and development teams.

Looking to restart my career. I have 3 years experience as a software engineer, but I stopped working in tech just before covid and found it difficult to reenter during covid. I have worked several non-tech jobs in the interim to pay the bills. I continued to code in my spare time and have just begun looking for an engineer role.

My experience is mostly with .NET desktop applications, but I enjoy working with new technologies and I am a quick learner. I am consistent, focused, and reliable. Due to my gap, I am also very negotiable on pay and I am eager to do any relevant work that you need done. I am more interested in experience than salary.
