Hi all, I'm an experienced senior software engineer with a focus on platform engineering, DevOps, and SRE.

Things I've enjoyed working on..

- Building internal cloud platforms / migrating workloads from on-prem to cloud - Develop internal tooling, e.g., CLIs, APIS to promote developer experience/productivity - Create internal developer platforms to automate the provisioning of new services with built-in security and best practices - Containerize and deploy applications to Kubernetes while leveraging CI/CD tools such as ArgoCD, Argo Workflows

I'm actively looking for new full-time employment. Remote work is preferred, but I'm open to hybrid work in Portland, Oregon.

My name is Nate Bennett. I reside Thousand Oaks, Ca with my beautiful wife of almost 15yrs and 3 children.

I'm a product-minded engineer who loves to think through and map out the opportunities and problems associated with developing a product.

I have founding experience and I have worked remote for much of my career, thriving with both autonomy and team-based projects. In previous roles I have worked with designers to create user-friendly interfaces and interactions from Figma designs and through customer feedback as well as building out database schemas and APIs.

As a former professional athlete, I am looking to join a team where teamwork is paramount and opportunities for growth and learning from others are a daily occurrence.

I’m currently developing a SaaS application called “Great Job!,” a productivity platform for job hunters, learning roadmaps, and AI-enhanced portfolio creation workflows. I'm very interested in AI Engineering and have began to dive deeper into AI topics and use it daily to augment my coding.

Away from the computer I enjoy working out in my garage gym, playing guitar, and playing with my kids.

Technologies: VP Product (AI), Game Design, Complex Systems, Data Architecture, Ships Products People Love
I was #1 on HN last month with my semantic analysis of English. Now I'm looking to help another technical product become more human.

What I deliver (bringing 10 years of indie puzzle gaming insights to software):

* Tutorial thinking - Design onboarding where users learn by doing, not reading docs

* Progressive complexity - Reveal features as users are ready, not all at once

* Intrinsic motivation - Create products people use because they want to, not have to

* Discovery moments - Build "aha!" experiences into routine workflows

* Natural sharing - Design features worth showing off (no forced virality)

* Satisfaction loops - Make the 100th use as rewarding as the first

Previously: SpicyNodes (40M users), time.gov (2M monthly), medical AI for 1.5M patients. PI on $295K NSF SBIR. I excel at the intersection of technical depth and human understanding - whether building atomic clock interfaces or language models.

Seeking: VP Product or CPO role at companies building AI products. Particularly interested in semantic search, knowledge tools, or creative AI applications. I lead teams of creative and technical people, and leverage those same skills to architect and ship production code (Swift, Python, etc.) via modern AI tools - decades of managing developers taught me exactly how to direct technical work.

Hi there! Get in touch if you need an easy to work with and versatile lead iOS developer for your app or platform that needs good performance, slick user experience, and some kind of AI. I'm a developer and cofounder (indie game) specializing in graphics optimization (Metal/OpenGL), real-time visualizations, and embedding ML models for on-device inference. Experience with LLM fine-tuning, vector search, and converting large models to compact on-device implementations. Led development of an App Store-featured app WikiNodes, and games with multiple awards. Recently built a word game system navigating 1.5M+ words with 110M+ relationships using Metal shaders at 60fps.

Seeking remote senior/lead role.

I've been working on production-grade AWS deployments for over 10 years, so it's a bit hard to frame my experience/skill set. That being said, if you need help with almost anything AWS - architecture, infrastructure, performance, scale - feel free to reach out. Although versed in Well-Architected/multi-region/multi-account, I strive to supply the simplest solution for your particular scenario.
