We're hiring across disciplines for engineers who work with Unix and have fluent written and spoken English:

● Backend Servers: Strong in C, Concurrency and Distributed Computing

Full-time only. Remote only. We start out on a full-time trial contract basis for up to 3 months and use this period as an extended work interview for both sides to assess fit for long-term employment.

Asking in good faith out of genuine curiosity: I kind of associate ClickHouse with Yandex. What's the present-day relationship and legal setup, and how does it jive with Western sanctions against Russia?

It’s an independent company with HQ in San Francisco, CA.

I’ll never understand why a company looking for a “founding engineer” would mandate a particular stack… You either trust the “founding” candidate to be a founding engineer and therefore trust their judgment or you want a regular engineer to continue with whatever jank the founders hacked together and the “founding” title is meaningless.
