I am an electrical engineer based in Ontario, Canada. I'm very interested in the energy transition, especially the shift to electric vehicles, electric heat and the opportunities this creates in the electricity sector.

Looking for contract, part-time or volunteer work, specifically in renewable energy or smart grid consulting. I can also help write/review grant applications for Canadian federal/provincial support, but outside my areas of direct work.

Preferably smart grid technology, wind energy, solar PV, energy policy. Happy to chat about the long term revenue streams on the electricity grid, especially opportunities on the distribution system.

Location: Remote, prefer opportunities in US/Canada

Experience - Fifteen years total. Wind energy design background (Netherlands), Power systems degrees, experience working with the Canadian Federal government.

Remote: Yes, please. Willing to relocate: No.

SEEKING WORK | UK | REMOTE

I'm a programmer with more than 10 years experience, primarily working remotely on a freelance or contract basis. My recent work has fallen into two main areas:

Scientific / numeric computing: e.g. I've contributed to research projects on quantum error correction and probabilistic programming languages. Tech: Python, NumPy, JAX, PyTorch, Matplotlib, JavaScript.

Backend web dev: e.g. I worked at a tiny start-up where I built a web app for automatic meeting scheduling. Tech: Python, Flask, SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL, Celery, OAuth, Google Calendar APIs, AWS.

Please feel free to get in touch if you have a project (of any kind!) you think I might be able to help with, I'd be happy to chat.

SEEKING WORK | LOCATION: EU (BUT WORKING EASTERN TIME HOURS) | REMOTE ONLY

I'm a fractional CTO and hands-on product engineer with over 17 years of startup experience. I help non-technical founders turn ideas into reality - working products and teams that provide a solid foundation for profitability, fundraising, and growth.

I offer the following services:

1. Product design - design a product that users want, investors back, and engineers can actually build.

2. Product development - build a quality product quickly and start gathering feedback from customers and potential investors as early as possible.

3. Engineering management - hire, onboard, and lead a lean engineering team to accelerate product development and optimize cost.

4. Technical consulting - pick a tech stack and processes appropriate for the current stage without putting future growth at risk.

5. Project rescues - get your project back on track, understand why it went off the rails, and ensure it'll stay on the right track.

If that sounds like what you need then let's chat: contact@gregnavis.com

I've worked across many stacks, but prefer tried and true tech: React + TypeScript or Hotwire on the frontend; Ruby on Rails on the backend. I also have significant experience with Elixir (+ Phoenix) and Python (+ Flask).

SEEKING WORK - Data scientist, remote worldwide, email in profile.

I'm a data scientist and I'm looking for hard problems to solve. Hair on fire "This is causing lemon-law recalls and we can't solve it." type problems - I've done those a few times.

I love avant garde problems, and have a pretty unique toolset. I've worked with names you know in automotive, tech, and other spaces. Recently I've been working with Oil & Gas - Production estimates, pricing, and other interesting things.

I've worked on projects including LLMs, knowledge extraction, automotive part failure prediction, vehicle route planning in constrained environments, translation, maintenance optimization, automated sports highlights, maritime piracy, and more.

If you're unsure, get in touch. Referals welcome. Email in profile.
