That could certainly be. The trouble is that we have no way of sorting out which companies are doing what—there would need to be some kind of 'due process' whereby the community could assess the fairness of different claims, and Who Is Hiring threads are no place for doing that. So in the end we just ask people not to post these. It's not to deny that these things are a problem, just that it can't be fairly decided h…

Suppression is actively affecting people, though I'm not sure how harmful it is yet. There's already self-moderation happening (community votes), so again what is there to gain?

I suggest keeping an eye out. We have regular internships and positions for those out of college. For eng, we’re backfilling right now with a focus on seniors. But our general need is for contributors who can work with our stack. Our code is all public. AI code generation and skill with the frameworks we need is our general trajectory.

Out of curiosity, you guys have been hiring for this for two years now(just looking at your comment history).

I've applied once myself because I'm really excited about your product but I dropped out the second I received automated email with a browser-based async interview without even talking to a real person. From there I went through Glassdoor interview reviews and I do not regret at all. It seems like your process is async tech task in the browser, some obscure trivia and PHP(what's with that btw?) based take-home with yet few more interviews after that. Did you ever at some point consider changing your process or are you just counting on hiring that one in a million that will want to go through all of that and pass?
