I’m a data professional with 2 years of experience in IT and a Master’s degree in Big Data Analytics and Information Technology. At AIG, I played a key role in database maintenance, cloud migration, and processing monthly claim data for client dashboards. I also resolved bugs in mainframe applications and worked extensively with DB2 databases. My academic background and hands-on experience have equipped me with expertise in big data processing, architecture, networking security, and data privacy regulations. I’m now seeking a Data Engineer role where I can leverage my technical skills and contribute to the growth of the organization while advancing my career.

I work primarily on backend systems, with a strong focus on performance and system stability/resilience. I worked as a performance engineer at the mobile add-attribution company Adjust.

Some interesting open-source projects include

https://github.com/fmstephe/memorymanager An exploratory manual memory allocator for building large in-memory data structures with near zero GC cost.

https://github.com/fmstephe/matching_engine A financial trading matching engine with a somewhat novel red+black tree implementation.

https://github.com/fmstephe/flib A set of packages primarily in support of a lock-free single-producer single-consumer queue.

My ideal position would be working on backend systems primarily in Go.

Hi, I'm Igor. I have 8+ years of experience as a software engineer and technology-oriented China specialist. Based in Switzerland. Recently, I have designed and implemented a large part of internal production systems at $CMPR, built in AWS. Side focus on security.

I've been engaged with China since 2015. In 2020, I've started a degree in Chinese Studies at the University of Zürich. I've just finished a scholarship at the BFSU, the best language university in China. In 2024, I have interpreted between Polish, English and Mandarin Chinese for the Polish Trade & Investment Agency at the Polish-Chinese Economic Forum in Shanghai (see pics on LinkedIn). I also keep tabs on technology and Chinese cybersecurity laws through Chinese sources.
