Radish is a tech-enabled, next-generation employee dining startup. We are the only employee meal program in the country with: -meals designed by michelin-starred chefs and top chef alums -customized meal plans for each employee with a subscription-based order flow -Serving both remote, in-office and hybrid workforces.

We are launching in August with roughly $10M ARR already secured. This is the latest project from an established and industry-leading Bay Area hospitality group, but our first project with a software emphasis. We are launching our MVP with off-the-shelf technology but looking for a full-stack engineer who can plug in as a core member of our team to build our proprietary technology over time. We are both a food and technology company, but in our long-term trajectory the emphasis will be on the software in its proprietary and/or SAAS implications.

We have a clear outline of our technology needs, but we're hoping for someone who will really take ownership over the project, and who can engage holistically with the operations to better understand how the technology can enable and enhance it. This would be a hands-on role to start, but the position will eventually lead a team. The position can have a mix of equity and salary compensation.

We are looking for someone who is really excited by the project, who is passionate about food, who is interested in understanding the full operational structure of the company and its long-term vision for growth and expansion, who isn't afraid to do some coding themselves but is also an exceptional leader.

Responsibilities and what we are looking for:

* Build Great Products. We care deeply about what our customers want. We constantly iterate on our products and prototype new ideas. You must be very good at interpreting customer requests, translating them into great user experience, and implementing it in code.

* Tackle Challenging Problems. A lot of our underlying technology is based on machine-learning algorithms. ML-algorithms are often not designed to run in real-time and require unique runtime environments. You must have experience with cloud-based service-oriented asynchronous systems. You must also understand how to bridge the gap between asynchronous algorithms and synchronous user interactions with web and mobile applications.

* Prototype New Features. We meet our customers where they are. This means rapidly building prototypes end-to-end, including storage, business logic, and user experience.

* Productize Exciting Research. Our team includes engineers developing new machine-learning algorithms. You should be able to understand the constraints and requirements of algorithms and participate in productizing them.

Our stack: Flutter; React.js with TypeScript; Node.js with TypeScript running on Firebase Functions; Firestore and Google Cloud Storage; PyTorch wrapped in Flask and running in a Kubernetes cluster.
