Early-stage health & wellness startup | Senior Engineer | Chicago or REMOTE (US) | Contract, 40 hrs/wk

We're an early-stage venture building a new mission-driven mobile product in health & wellness, hiring a senior engineer to own the mobile + backend stack end-to-end and set the technical foundation for scale.

The role spans architecture, mobile, backend, infra, and the engineering-quality bar sits with you. Small team, high ownership, direct access to the CEO.

Stack: React Native + TypeScript, GCP, CI/CD.

Looking for: - 7+ years professional experience, with real 0-to-1 / early-stage work - Shipped mobile apps (ideally React Native) - Strong backend: APIs and data models from scratch - Comfortable owning architecture - Self-directed in an ambiguous, early-stage environment

Contract (1099), 40 hrs/week. Chicago preferred for in-person time with the CEO; remote (US) considered. Must be authorized to work in the US as an independent contractor; no visa sponsorship.

AMD | Rust, Compiler, and Systems Engineer, Senior or Staff | San Jose, CA | ONSITE | Full-time

I'm looking for a strong compiler and systems generalist to join me at AMD in San Jose.

This role is for someone who enjoys moving across abstraction layers and solving difficult, open-ended engineering problems. Relevant experience may include LLVM, MLIR, compiler frontends or backends, intermediate representations, optimization and code generation, language runtimes, Rust or C++, low-level GPU systems, firmware, program analysis, or formal methods.

Rust is central to the role. We are investing in Rust for low-level systems where performance, control, and correctness all matter, and this person will help make that investment successful. You should be excited to write substantial production Rust and to improve the compiler, tooling, interfaces, and engineering practices around it. Deep Rust experience is valuable, but a strong compiler or C++ systems engineer who is serious about becoming highly effective in Rust can also be a good fit.

You do not need experience in every area. Strong fundamentals, sound technical judgment, and the ability to become productive in unfamiliar parts of a large systems stack matter more than matching a fixed list of technologies. We value people who can connect architecture to implementation, build rigorous tests, and communicate clearly about correctness and tradeoffs.

This is a full-time, onsite position in San Jose, California. To learn more, email me directly at harsh.menon@amd.com with "HN" in the subject. Please include a short introduction and a resume or links to relevant work.

Yeah, that's gonna be a no from me, dawg.

Hello,

Why are you collecting scans of the passports of applicants who don't hold EU citizenship? These have a great potential for misuse if they fall into the wrong hands.

This doesn't make me want to use (or recommend) your platform as a customer either.
