Staff SWE / SRE. 15yoe including Rackspace, Rundeck, and PagerDuty. Career has been cloud engineering and SRE focused particularly the first half: linux, infrastructure, reliability, performance, automation, build, test, developer experience, and etc. Back half I have been working full-stack development(startup life) in addition to SRE and cloud architecture work.

Looking for a half-time opportunity(with benefits) which could be great for a startup not needing, or not ready, to shell out FT salary for someone with my experience.

I'm a senior full-stack developer with an aspiration for team/product lead or CTO-like position. For ~7 years I was co-founder and CTO of an ed-tech company called: amy.app . My co-founder and I scaled the company to about 25 employees. Before that I gained a PhD in Human Robot Interaction in NZ. Currently I'm exploring how LLMs, in particular vision, can be used to automate back office jobs.

I'm very product/customer focused and pragmatic. I like to move super fast.

My dream environment is an early-stage/full-remote startup.

Curious debugger, doer, and hands-on maker of things, creative and self-reliant. Ideal for early-stage companies. Worked remotely since 2011 from Cambodia for U.S. companies, including SublimeHQ/Ripple/Coil and smaller NFC/RFID startups. Easily managed 12hr timezone differences, and open to working within EU time zones for even better alignment.

Like many, I am presently interested in AI(esp. browser++), however I remain open to anything interesting.
