FullStory | Senior Systems Software Engineer (iOS) | Atlanta or REMOTE (USA, Canada, or UK) | https://www.fullstory.com/

FullStory for Mobile Apps is an analytics/session replay framework that records the app's draw calls - omitting anything that is potentially private - then allows the sessions to be analyzed and replayed in our web app. It helps our customers narrow down where their users are getting stuck, and what steps reproduce bugs and edge cases.

We're looking for one more engineer with deep experience in systems programing, debugging, and reverse engineering. iOS experience is also a big plus. Our iOS framework is built with Objective-C and Rust, and then we have internal things built with Swift and other languages.

As one of my co-workers put it:

> Work on state-of-the-art recording of iOS apps to provide a rich, privacy-respecting analytics experience. Reverse engineer iOS frameworks to learn how they work and how they can be used efficiently. Use low level capabilities of the Objective-C runtime to solve problems unique to iOS.

You can also see our team manager's post from a couple of months back for another take on things: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=24969524

The company as a whole is awesome. My favorite job in my ~15 year career. Smart, humble people. A focus on empathy, clarity, and "bionics" (e.g. automation, but more than just that). Competitive pay[1], and solid benefits (Anthem insurance, Vanguard 401k, PTO, etc.) paired with a great work-life balance. And more than just "remote friendly", FullStory strives to be "remote equal". (We were about 20% remote last year, it's more like 80-90% now.) Check out https://bwamp.me/ for one example of that.

Please apply at https://boards.greenhouse.io/fullstory/jobs/4918319002?gh_sr...

We also have quite a few other roles open in IT, Design, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Recruiting, Engineering (Backend: Golang, FullStack: Go + TypeScript, SRE: GCP), Product Management, and Sales. See https://boards.greenhouse.io/fullstory?t=cf0d4d232us for the complete list and https://www.fullstory.com/careers/ for some general info.

I'm one of the engineers on the mobile team - if you have any question, feel free to comment here or email me directly: nathan@[company site].

[1]: I'm not sure what the pay range is for this role, but I'd guess maybe $170-190k, + ~$10-205k/year of equity.
