Hi, I’m Shivraj, a Master’s in Computer Science candidate at UMass Amherst and former Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase (CIB Markets). I’ve built large-scale data/ML systems for margin trading risk, anomaly detection, and real-time alerting (~5M+ records/day, sub-2s latency). My interests lie in machine learning for risk modeling, personalization, and agentic workflows. |
Looking for internship opportunities where I can ship production systems and make an impact !!

Full-stack software engineer with over 10 years of experience creating solutions that help teams and businesses succeed. I enjoy jumping into both new projects and existing systems, learning as I go, and tackling whatever challenge the team may face, whether that’s coding, mentoring, or helping solve tricky problems. I thrive in research-heavy environments and my most unique project was building a large-scale audio streaming backend using WebRTC and custom servers.Re: Ask HN: Who wants to be hired? (October 2025)

About: I'm a New Grad, avid reader, keeping up with AI dev, love tennis & journaling.
Looking for: engineering @ early/growth stage startup, AI Infrastructure/ Distributed (compute + storage)/ startups working on enterprise or consumer AI products.
AI Infra Bottleneck: I hope to work on building reliable orchestration for AI agents with shared context, IPC/ message passing, shared agent CoT trace, and creating agent-swarm meshing (isolating multi-agent setups on shared compute).
Past Exp: Worked on distributed ML workflow orchestration engine at an ML automations startup, used redis+k8s+python for dependency-aware task scheduling. Worked with a real-estate private equity firm on building an E2E deal sourcing platform.
