My name is Josh and I have seven years of experience in DevOps. I recently took some time to see if I could apply my skills to help less technically capable industries leverage automation and improve and protect their existing systems. That did not pan out as well as I had hoped and I am looking to get back into DevOps work.

My first stint in DevOps was improving the build and test process for a C/C++/Embedded company on a Jenkins/In-house platform. At my second job, I worked on a Python/JavaScript codebase built and hosted on a combination of GitLab/Phabricator all deployed in AWS. I was responsible for both the build systems and toolchains at both companies.

I love learning and I love teaching. Some of the things I missed the most when going off on my own were the mentorship and communal learning opportunities I had previously. I have a good mind for architecture and am quick to pick up new skills and technologies.

If you're looking for someone to lead your DevOps team, or expand its existing capabilities, I have the experience and tenacity to get the job done.
