#275My team at TomTom is hiring Senior Software Engineers to work on a Global-Scale Traffic Prediction System. It's a pretty cool setup and work-life balance is great. We work on very large scale traffic data - the code you write will produce what drivers see on their navigation systems.
We're doing Scala / Java / Python / Spark / Terraform / Azure / Github Actions
At least in my team, the focus is on solving problems - so if you can solve a problem using $YourFavoriteTech, and help onboard the rest of the team, you'll get the freedom to do so.
Combination of Data/ML Engineers, Data Scientists, and Full Stack Engineers. We have the entire Machine Learning life cycle - from labelling to prediction.
Job spec says Amsterdam and Berlin, but I think we're pretty flexible if you're anywhere, and you're good.
Positions:
- Senior Software Engineer https://www.tomtom.com/careers/jobdetails/JR0009102/sr-softw...
- Senior Data Engineer https://www.tomtom.com/careers/jobdetails/JR0009122/sr-data-...
- Full Stack Software Engineer (Java/JVM) https://www.tomtom.com/careers/jobdetails/JR0007891/full-sta...

#276Tangram makes it easy for programmers to train, deploy, and monitor machine learning models. With Tangram, programmers can train models and make predictions on the command line or with libraries for languages including Elixir, Go, JS, PHP, Python, Ruby, and Rust, and learn about their models and monitor them in production from a web application.
Tangram is open source and everything is written in Rust, from the core machine learning algorithms to the web application. We are looking for strong Rust programmers who love the Rust programming language and either have machine learning experience or are interested in learning machine learning.
Here are some projects you might work on:
* Design and implement the SDK for training a machine learning model in Tangram's language libraries.
* Add support for A/B testing multiple versions of a machine learning model.
* Add support for training new model types including time series forecasting.
* Add automated alerting for statistical data drift detection by implementing Chi-Square or Kolmogorov–Smirnov tests.
Tangram is founded by former MIT, Facebook and Slack engineers. We recently raised a seed round from Kleiner Perkins and our angel investors include the creator of NextJS, the founder of GitHub, and the CEO of Slack.
We are looking to grow our current team of 3 to 6 in the next couple of months and are open to programmers working remotely from anywhere in the US.

#278We're a biotech company that creates software, hardware, and chemistry to accelerate humanity's understanding of biology. Recently, we were recognized on The Scientist's Top 10 Innovations List for the fifth consecutive year. In 2021, we were selected for releasing our newest instrument, the Chromium X, which is used for single-cell analysis. Sisi Chen, director of the Single-Cell Profiling and Engineering Center at Caltech, noted that the high-throughput capability of the Chromium X is essential to her research. She uses it to explore how therapeutic compounds influence the human immune system. The system allows her to simultaneously stimulate 1 million immune cells, each with different therapeutics, and track their responses. [0]
Our software team creates products that enable scientists to analyze complex biological data. For example, a scientist may use our software to determine precisely which cell types could be cancerous. We utilize Go, React, Typescript, and Electron to create intuitive visualization and web applications. We've written our data pipelines using the Numpy/Scipy/Pandas stack, and we're making increasing use of Rust [1].
We've always been and continue to be remote-friendly for many roles. We're looking for awesome people at various levels for the following roles: Frontend Engineer, Product Manager, Full-stack Engineer, Backend Engineer, Security Engineer, Embedded Software Engineer, Engineer in Test, and many more.
You can learn more and see all our software job listings here: https://www.10xgenomics.com/careers/software. Feel free to contact me directly at kevin.wu@10xgenomics.com.
We look forward to hearing from you, and good luck with your search!

#280In order to decarbonize the grid, the world needs better carbon data and analytics. To support this mission, Singularity Energy is building the world's highest quality view of historical, real-time, and forecasted grid carbon emissions. Today, grid carbon data is siloed, outdated, and lacks spatial and temporal granularity, and with new climate pledges and decarbonization plans being announced every day, there is a tremendous need to get the underlying data right. We started by launching https://carbonara.energy/, a data and analytics platform (with 700M+ data points and growing) that helps companies build carbon-aware products, and we're looking to grow our team in order to improve the sophistication of our offerings and expand our capabilities to become the 'carbon intelligence layer' for companies and governments.
