#273Working at Kevala is good for the planet, and good for the soul. Or, formally:
Kevala’s team is solving the challenges facing energy market participants interacting with the evolving electricity grid. America’s aging electric system is facing rapid transformation from changing technology and proliferation of distributed energy resources. Kevala is providing data and analysis to accelerate smart investment in a world served by a more robust, environmentally sustainable, effective, and safe grid. The principle of creating a better future by mapping our mutual energy sources and systems is the foundation for everything we do.
Our stack is GCP | Postgres | Django | [insert frontend(s) here]

#274AdQuick is building the AdWords for Billboards.
We're a group of early Instacart folks, we got started on AdQuick in late 2016. We started by building software to map all outdoor ads and make them easy to buy and measure using data.
In doing so, we acquired customers like Squarespace, Shopify, GoodRx, KrispyKreme, and many others, and raised our Series A last year.
Now, the industry is undergoing a transition to programmatic buying (meaning auction-based buying, just like how you bid for ads on Google and FB.) We're building the best platform to buy outdoor ads in real-time. We just launched this new product in June 2020 and we're seeing significant growth.
For engineers, we're looking for:
- Experience with Ruby, Rails, & Postgres, or similar technologies. Our traditional-buying product is in React, our programmatic product is built with Stimulus Reflex. The back-end bidding system is in Kotlin & Quarkus (https://quarkus.io/)
- 3+ years experience working on production systems
- People who actively want the startup experience: taking a lot of ownership, having a big impact, and building amazing products that customers love.
Fill out our Google Form here if this sounds interesting to you!

For Product Managers & Project Managers, we're looking for:
- 2+ years experience in the role, preferably at a high-growth startup
- Beyond that, impress us :). These are generalist roles.
Email me, vic@adquick.com if you're interested.

#275Do you enjoy working with lots of different applications stacks? Do you like helping others? Do you want to build lots of different applications? Are you interested in contributing to open source?
We are a funded seed stage startup in the developer tooling and DevOps space empowering developers to build and run their cloud-native applications. The current product is focusing on containers and the friction around them.
We are building a brand new engineering team. We are developer friendly, low on process with no mind-numbing bureaucracy or micromanagement. We are looking for people who'll be excited to be a part of the engineering team in an early stage startup during its inception phase building modern cloud-native applications the right way.
You can find out more about the mission, how we work and the roles here: https://github.com/slim-ai/engineering
Email me at cto@slim.ai if you'd like to learn more.

#276As a business, we sit on a unique position and have partnerships with a ton of giant companies (think Doordash, Postmates, Instacart, and many more) who want to better serve their workforce. It's rare that a startup has a good mission and a good business, but here we are.
On the engineering side we use Swift, Node, Typescript, GraphQL, Postgres, Python, Scala/Akka and some cool machine learning models you're going to love hearing about. Your work will be feature-heavy, and you'll get to define the future of our app's architecture and infrastructure. You will grow naturally into our iOS Tech Lead.
We have our beautiful headquarters located in SOMA (San Francisco) close to South Park, and will be opening a new office in Salt Lake City once the pandemic ends. That said, we are a remote-first company and nurture remote workers from all over the United States. We offer fantastic benefits (after all, it's our product!) and you'll be surrounded by the most driven, smartest people I know. We have a supportive, productive culture that's respectful of your own personal time and well-being.
