Optimal are building autonomous greenhouses to grow healthy, sustainable crops.

We've built and deployed software to control the environment within industrial greenhouses. By optimising the inputs to the system given the latest weather forecast and sensor data we are able to more accurately control the climate (temperature, humidity, CO2) of the greenhouse, and have shown that this leads to increased yields whilst reducing resource usage. Our goal long-term is to enable autonomous, sustainable greenhouses to be deployed outside every city on earth.

Tesla | Data Engineer | Full-Time | ONSITE (Fremont, CA)

Come join the formation data team at Tesla working on building lithium-ion batteries! Formation is one of the last steps in battery manufacturing where the full cell is charged/discharged for the first time in order to form an SEI layer and generate electrochemical data that can be used to determine cell quality and performance. Our data pipelines consume raw timeseries data from millions of batteries and turn that into critical quality metrics which determine how cells are dispositioned. In this role, you'd be working on a team to build and scale Python-based services across multiple factory sites. Great role for someone who loves building software and wants to use that software to push towards a clean energy future.
