FireHydrant helps companies recover from IT disasters more quickly. The FireHydrant platform includes Incident Response, Status Pages, Retrospectives, and Deploy Events so you can take control of your complex system, reduce downtime, and work better together. We’re a Series A company with around 45 employees who sit across the United States and we’re growing.

We're looking for

- Backend engineers with experience in writing reliable software in Ruby on Rails.

- Site Reliability Engineers who want to help teams build the most resilient software; our customers depend on us to be available in their most critical times, when they are unavailable

- Product Designers to create experiences that are easy to use during some of the most stressful events of a teams existence

Layer is building the Declarative MLOps (DM) platform to help data teams across all companies to produce machine learning applications based on code in small and safe increments that can be reproduced, tested and reliably deployed at any time, in short adaptation cycles.

One of our founders sold his previous company at 500M USD, the other is one of the top VC partners in Europe. Our engineering team is a mix of top engineers from Palantir, Revolut, Google, Improbable, Coinbase, Amazon, DataRobot, among others.

We have an all-remote culture as we aspire to work with the best talent, no matter where they live. We are looking to make a few more hires until we close down hiring until Series A. We pay competitive salaries and give stock, among other perks. Initially, we are looking to hire within the GMT-1 to GMT+5 time zones but we are happy to make exceptions for truly exceptional candidates.

Our tech stack is React/TypeScript/GraphQL on the frontend, Java at the backend (with some Scala and Python), Kubernetes/AWS/Terraform on the infra side. We are currently only looking for experienced candidates. Prior startup experience or being a prolific open source contributor is a plus.

About: Webaverse is an open source project to build a decentralized 3D world truly owned by its users. One which meets users where they are, requires no installs, supports self expression to the max, and is fun to use.

You will be working in a team of developers, alongside a team of domain experts and test analysts to provide a world class solution for libraries and information industry

You will be spending 70% of your time in development with the other 30% managing the roadmap and engaging with our customer success team to align our development with customer and market expectations. You will focus on continuous improvement, strategy, code reviews and the implementation of coding standards and quality measures.

We use React, Node-JS, XML, SOAP, REST API's, JSON, Cache' Objectscript, Python and some C#

Responsibilities:

- Management of the development roadmap and product direction

- Product specification and design using agile methodologies

- External integrations including social media, eResources and integrations to third party open source modules

- Undertake R&D to research and investigate new software tools, libraries and other emerging features such as ML

We are looking for:

- Minimum degree level qualification with good organisational/time management skills

- Thorough knowledge of modern web based technologies

- C# & Cache' ObjectScript an advantage

- German language an advantage

- Thorough understanding of the browser DOM

- Knowledge technologies such as Vue, Angular and Redux, an advantage, as well as Github/Gitlab and unit testing environments
