ETIQ | Remote within UK | Senior Full-stack engineer | Full-time

This is an amazing role for someone who wants to lead on building a platform AND wants to make the world a fairer place. We are an early-stage, funded start-up building software to help mitigate algorithmic bias. Whether it's in policing and sentencing, recruitment or financial products, people's lives are impacted by automated decisions on a daily basis. The algorithms that drive these automated decisions are often biased against certain demographic groups. At ETIQ, we want to help prevent and mitigate these biases so that technologies like ML and AI can help promote equal opportunity and not amplify inequality.

So far we have focused on our core technology and we are now building our full product offering and scaling our capacity. We are looking for a Senior Full-stack engineer to join us to help build our debiasing platform. This role will see you working on all areas of the product architecture from database design and implementation to application architecture and delivery through to deployment. You will be supported by a mid-level software engineer and work closely with the data science team which builds the ML models at the core of the platform including AI researchers from Bath University and Edinburgh University.

Remote works for us, but you will need to be UK based. If you are interested or know someone who is please get in touch: raluca@etiq.ai For more details, please see link below: https://www.etiq.ai/#careers

Rubik | Fullstack Engineer, Tech Lead, Cofounder | London, Remote, Visa | Node.js, React

Rubik is the operating system for the modern company. We enable our customers to manage their business in a more efficient way by solving their problem of software and data fragmentation. The average medium-sized company today uses over 100 different applications and 200 devices, and keeping all of those up and running in sync requires constant attention and manual work. We believe there is a better way.

Technically, we i) consolidate a number of core business systems that every modern company today requires into a singular workbench for all departments and ii) manage all other third party applications and devices seamlessly used by our customers via our baked-in integration layer. Ultimately, we are building a new generation of business software that is native to the API economy and making use of its full value. We are currently operating in stealth mode and are freshly funded by Lakestar and Village Global, the venture firm backed by some of the world’s most successful entrepreneurs including Jeff Bezos, Eric Schmidt and Mark Zuckerberg.

What we are still lacking are a few talented fullstack Javascript engineers to complement our core team. Depending on experience, there are are several fullstack engineer positions and a tech lead role available, all of which come with at least 1% of equity. For the right person, we will even offer a cofounder position with the adequate amount of equity.

You can find more information under https://www.getrubik.com/careers but feel free to get in touch with me directly (chris@getrubik.com).

Do you sponsor Visas?

Possibly, the current situation makes it very tough to rely on visa sponsoring. Depending where you are located it takes months to get appointments for getting the visa process going.

But we are open for it and have been doing it in the past. Feel free to apply and we check together what is possible.
