Moat is a growing analytics startup with products in two core areas:

1) Analytics

Moat Analytics analyzes content and advertisements for many of the most trafficked websites on the Internet. We give customers metrics like ad viewability, attention and user engagement. We were one of the first companies to begin measuring viewability and we helped make these metrics a standard in the online ad industry.

2) Search

We scrape the Internet for online ads. This allows us to give advertisers, publishers and adtech companies an overview of the entire online ad ecosystem. We are looking for someone enterprising, able to quickly assimilate new technologies, and enthusiastic about the financial services industry. An understanding of concurrency and distributed computing – for example, the actor model, such as that provided by Akka – is necessary. Familiarity with statistics or linear algebra – whether applied to finance, bioinformatics or machine learning applications – is a plus.
