Location: Jakarta, Indonesia (UTC+7)

Remote: Yes (fully remote and async for 3+ years; open worldwide/APAC-friendly)

Willing to relocate: Yes, with visa sponsorship (open to UK, Ireland, EU, NZ, and elsewhere)

Technologies: Rust, WebAssembly, TypeScript/JavaScript, React (plus Vue/Svelte/SolidJS wrappers), C, C++, Python; canvas/WebGL rendering, FFI/uniffi (Kotlin/Swift/C), binary file-format design, performance profiling, CI/CD, distributed systems

I'm Lead Software Engineer at LottieFiles, where I maintain the official dotLottie player stack end to end: dotlottie-rs (a production Rust runtime compiled to WebAssembly for the web and to native iOS/Android libraries from one codebase) and dotlottie-web (the TypeScript player and its React/Vue/Svelte/SolidJS packages — 10M+ npm downloads/month). The runtime parses untrusted third-party files on every client installation, so memory safety, input validation and frame-budget performance are my daily constraints. Before that: backend at TikTok on systems serving hundreds of millions of users, and 3 years of enterprise React/TypeScript at Adform. I also contribute to ThorVG (C++ vector graphics engine). Looking for senior/staff systems, runtime, graphics, or frontend-infrastructure work — remote from Indonesia or relocation with sponsorship.

I was the maintainer of Truffle Debugger ( https://github.com/ConsenSys-archive/truffle/tree/develop/pa... ), a Solidity smart contract debugger, for 5…

I'm not hiring or anything, but I just wanna say thanks for the nice work on Truffle! I have fond memories using that when I first got into the eth-dev space, and after having worked on a number of debuggers, indexers, and various "in the weeds" low level EVM tools I know how grueling and thankless it can be! But it's also lots of fun :)

Résumé/CV: https://www.linkedin.com/in/arkadzi-rakouski/

Email: arkadyrakovsky@gmail.com

I’m Arkadzi, a product engineer and a teammate with 7+ years of experience. I’ve worked on products in AdTech, RetailTech, and SaaS, including for the US market. Over the years I’ve been involved in system redesigns, stack migrations, and making interfaces faster and easier to use.

I’m especially interested in work that helps people and has a positive impact. For example, right now I volunteer with Discourse, helping with a large SolidJS-based open media product for long-form text and multimedia.

I usually focus on fundamentals instead of getting stuck on one framework implementation, so it’s easy for me to grow my stack and learn new technologies quickly.

In my recent roles, I’ve worked on design systems, full-stack features, analytics tools, and performance improvements for complex products — from large maps and marketing sites to B2B dashboards and editors. I also care about developer experience, so I’ve spent time cleaning up legacy code, building reusable UI kits, and contributing to open-source projects.

Focus: the first mile of design maturity for small B2B software teams. Think UX/UI consistency and brand alignment across the product, using LLM-ready design systems and improved design-to-code workflows.

Currently design partner to a funded AI-native B2B startup. Owning the design end-to-end, helped their small team build their new agentic product layer from first direction to public launch in six weeks. Before that, helped a fintech B2C company set up their design function and build their customer-facing product.

Taking new long-term engagements from late August, to meaningfully level up design maturity, but also available for short, scoped sprints.
