Hello, I'm Garrett.

Location: Oakland, CA

Remote: Yes, but willing to do hybrid or in-office as well.

Willing to Relocate: No (can obviously commute to SF)

Technologies: Full Stack Web, Javascript, Typescript, React, SQL, Node.js, Electron.js, embedded C/C++.

Resume: https://jgarrettcorbin.com (linked in top right corner)

Email: jgarrettcorbin at gmail.com

I am a reasonably long-time "coder" that waited way too long to actually get serious about becoming a job-ready software engineer. I would be looking for junior positions, but would bring more to the table than the average boot camp grad. I am enthusiastic about learning new technologies and am capable of doing so with minimal guidance.

Location: Warsaw, Poland

Remote: Yes - both US and EU time zones

Willing to relocate: No

Technologies: Java, functional reactive development with Reactor, SQL, MongoDB, etc.

Contact information: https://pastebin.com/fu5NcYkF

CV: on request

Over 2 decades of hands on SW dev experience in various roles, recently mostly as tech lead. Types of projects: mostly backend/API, some embedded (ANSI C). Large projects involving large amounts of code, functionality, people, and transaction volume. Projects with unique requirements like extreme performance AND reliability requirements, etc.

I like difficult / non-standard projects. I like helping projects in trouble (trouble delivering, trouble with performance/reliability, trouble retaining people, etc.) I love solving hard technical problems, design for extreme efficiency and reliability, design for minimum maintenance.

Full stack engineer for 9+ years. I'm interested in solving hard problems and would love to help build creative and beautiful solutions. Machine learning, optimization, and games are three particular points of interest, but working with functional languages is always a plus.

I'm passionate about building functional, healthy teams who can focus on building the right things quickly.

I'm self-taught and my degree is in philosophy, which I like to think leaves me in a good position to think creatively about problems and to communicate well.
