Hi! I have 15+ years of experience mainly with Web stuff, both on frontend and backend. Bulk of the work I did in the past revolved around developing in-browser collaborative editors, as well as working on stuff that helps teams move faster, such as infrastructure and dev tools. I have experience both as developer and as a manager/tech lead. Looking for a tech-first role or a healthy mix of IC work and management.Re: Ask HN: Who wants to be hired? (June 2026)
#233I spent the last 9 years at Atlassian providing internal platform support for engineering teams. In that time I've debugged failed deployments, CI/CD errors, API issues, AWS related issues, policy as code, Jira automation, documentation tooling, and pretty much every other aspect of the lifecycle except writing the actual code.
Looking for: Full time developer/infrastructure support roles where I can continue assisting engineers and improving the developer experience. Mission-driven organizations a strong plus.
I'm very much a generalist, but some technologies I frequently work with: AWS, Docker, Bitbucket Pipelines, Splunk, SignalFx, LLM tooling(Rovo, Claude Code,Codex), local llm integration, Jira/JSM. Literate with Python/Go/JS/Javascript

Senior software engineer with 5+ years of experience building large-scale distributed systems, CDN/edge infrastructure, and developer-facing platforms. Currently at Disney working on the DTC media platform powering ESPN, Disney+, and Hulu - designing intent-based CDN policy controls (with Z3 formal verification), optimizing multi-CDN traffic mix, and integrating with Akamai, Fastly, and CloudFront for live events. Previously a founding engineer at a YC-backed messaging startup (Texts) and ran my own infrastructure-heavy SaaS for several years. Comfortable across the stack but happiest deep in backend/infra work - distributed systems, networking, performance, and tooling that makes other engineers faster. Currently pursuing an M.S. in CS at Georgia Tech (Computing Systems, 4.0).

Résumé: https://s.id/resume-abdurrahman-fullstack Email: abdurrahman dot shofy at gmail dot com
AI-oriented Fullstack Engineer with 9+ years of experience building production web applications, data-intensive systems, and AI-powered products.
Recently, I've been building end-to-end AI workflows for a startup, covering recording UX, transcription, content generation, video rendering, analytics, evaluation workflows, and LLM integrations. I enjoy taking AI features from prototype to production and building the engineering systems needed to make them reliable.
Previously worked as a Software Architect for the West Java provincial government, helping improve engineering practices across 60+ engineers, leading performance optimization efforts for high-traffic systems, and building internal automation tools that saved thousands of hours of manual work.
Selected experience:
- Built and shipped production AI workflows using LLMs, transcription, content generation, and video rendering - Developed RAG systems, natural-language-to-SQL pipelines, and AI evaluation/regression testing workflows - Led database optimization initiatives on large legacy systems handling millions of records - Experience across backend engineering, frontend product development, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and software architecture - AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
Looking for senior fullstack, backend, AI engineer, or technical lead opportunities. Remote preferred.

#238Remote: yes
Willing to relocate: no
Technologies: Clojure, Ruby (sometimes on Rails), PostgreSQL, Javascript, Python. Some experience with Rust, Lua, C, C++, Haskell, Scheme, Racket, Common Lisp.
In 2026, I probably need to say I can code without an LLM. I can also code with one and I have a decent grasp of context engineering.

Misc: I have over two years of full-time security consulting and blue team experience at NCC Group and Black Lantern Security. Also, I have two 0days and received CVEs under my name and a company research blog post to go along with it. Done contracting for FAANGs and found 0days in their products. Worked at IBM as a programmer too.
I'm eligible for a security clearance and willing to do government work. Already passed a FSP once, but was denied agency specific suitability.
