Full Stack Engineer, Michael Baker, hello

Startup experience and FAANG experience. 20+ years as a web dev. Extra stoked to grow in a role working with Payments, Security, or Python.

I do Backend Engineering, UI Engineering, the pieces in-between and the parts in the cloud:

From inputs in the interface to updates to the database. Data feed, data speed and data storage to user feels, user needs and user secrets. Milestone sprints, project launches, outage recoveries, retooling and code reviewing. Full cycle app development.

I believe in the power of the mastermind effect, where two minds in harmony equals 3, or 10. I believe empathy makes teams and products succeed in the long haul. I believe optimism, confidence and persistence are key traits in an Engineer which are worth reinforcing. If you agree, let's connect, ping me, whether you have a job opportunity or not, let’s give being contacts a shot.

Hey, I’m a very strong generalist, full stack plus many years AWS/devops experience. If you need a dev who glues teams together and can finally figure out that super weird bug that no one can seem to reliably reproduce, let’s chat.

I have more than a decade of customer support experience. Starting in high-profile conference rooms, solving problems for executives and their support teams, I've worked in large enterprise orgs and seen good decisions and bad. I'm interested in building a support team that integrates well with your engineers, but lets them run faster.

I like being a part of keeping technology's promise to make life better for people.

--- All-purpose computer experience starting with the Apple IIe. Over a decade of "everything" lateral business experience at bootstrapped and extremely scrappy small company in several roles. Recently focusing in on DevOps/K8s/PETAL stack as technologies, but can't stop a desire to help teams "sharpen the axe", collaborate better and learn+adapt.
