My Signal Well (Austin, TX) | Founding Engineer | ONSITE Austin | Fractional or full-time

AI health coaching, personalized, data-driven, built on real biomarkers (DNA, wearables, labs, food logs). Product is live. Stack: Python/FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Fitbit + Apple Health integrations, LLM pipelines. Infrastructure needs modernization — no containers yet. That's where you come in.

What makes this different: we run an autonomous AI engineering team (Claude Code agents) that handles feature builds and deploys. You're not writing CRUD. You own architecture, infrastructure, and the path to scale.

First priority: containerize, CI/CD, HIPAA-compliant AWS migration.

Must have: Python, Docker in production, PostgreSQL, ops mindset. Health tech or regulated industry experience is a plus. You've built and scaled something real.

I applied to the Head of Engineering and Infrastructure role two months ago, and got a fairly generic rejection almost immediately that suggested I had been automatically screened out. I've cleaned up my LinkedIn a bit since then, so perhaps that would help? Given that you're still looking, and technically it's almost identical to my last role, seems like it's worth having a conversation about.

Promptless (YC) | Founding Docs Practice Lead | San Francisco (Onsite) | Full-time | $140k–$200k + equity

Promptless builds AI agents that automatically update customer-facing documentation. Startups, CNCF projects, and Fortune 500 companies use us. YC-backed with a seed round from top VCs and angels.

This is a one-of-one role. You'll own the documentation practice at Promptless: onboarding customers onto the platform, building the methodology for AI-assisted documentation, and growing our reputation as the company that makes docs teams more effective. Think practice lead at a top consulting firm, except the domain is docs and the leverage is AI.

You should have deep experience in technical documentation (developer docs, API references, support content), be comfortable reading code, and be excited about pushing the boundaries of LLM-assisted writing. You'll be building this function from scratch, so an entrepreneurial mindset is key.

BetterDB ( https://betterdb.com ) ( https://github.com/BetterDB-inc ) | Founding Engineer | Remote | Full-time BetterDB is building the tooling ecosystem for Valkey, the high-performance Redis fork backed by AWS, Google, and Oracle. We're starting with observability — historical persistence, pattern analysis, anomaly detection, and Prometheus export — so you can debug what happened at 3am when you wake up at 9am. Sta…

> To apply, first run BetterDB and use your email as the license key for npm/docker, for cloud just register with the same email you are applying. I get why people want someone to use their product to see if they'd want to work on it, but as an observation, see this as an increasing trend and seeing half of a "I'm hiring" post dedicated to "Hey, install our product, here's how" gives hints of companies who are basica…

I get you but I think it's fair to ask. You have no idea how enraging it is to dedicate a whole hour to someone for interview only to ask at the end (you know at this stage) if they used the product and they say "no" and look slightly ashamed and retarded.

Every single place I've ever applied to, I've used their product DEEPLY

But like, you can't ask - you just gotta wade through a million retards.
