I'm a recent PhD graduate in machine learning for image and video editing. I have worked with diffusion models, VAEs, and GANs for images, videos and 3D objects. My skills range from mathematical derivations to Cuda kernel implementation. I like to work on systems that are not monolithic, but have multiple modules that require a high level of expertise. If possible, I'd prefer to work for the creative industries.

Spend the last two years trying to adjust (and failed) to German public service. Looking for some…
Not fitting in with German public service is a badge of honor. You don’t want to fit in there.

I'm a Senior Engineer with 18+ years of experience building and evolving scalable platforms, primarily focused on back end work. As a passionate mentor and collaborator I love building cross-functional relationships to grow teams and solve problems alongside both business and technical stakeholders.
I have a strong background in e-commerce from my most recently role (8+ years), but I consider myself a generalist looking to work alongside smart people solving interesting problems.

About me: Hardcore backender with sysadmin / ops skills. Problem solver first and foremost, worked in many different types of businesses, drawn to devising lean and focused solutions. Advocate of old-school pragmatism. Fights hard against unnecessary complexity. Prioritizes maintainability above everything else.
What I am looking for: Work where there are no death marches -- not often at least. Smaller teams are preferred. As a senior dev I am fully able to architect, design, implement and deploy a project from scratch, provided I have access to the relevant stakeholders. Remote + async (no strict working hour ranges) positions are preferred, though I work just fine with firmer schedules.

Aside: interested in all sorts of automation, and financial trading.

I am a physicist with lots of software experience in many domains, including scientific computing, distributed systems, finance & trading, machine learning, and power grid infrastructure.
I maintain several free and open-source software packages: https://github.com/LaurentRDC
I have experience as a scientific software engineer at NASA's JPL, and quantitative research + software engineer at a tech startup. I have also tried starting my own startup in the cleantech space (https://powerweave.io/), which ultimately ran out of runway -- still a valuable experience!
I am interested in climate tech, more specifically the clean energy transition, but willing to hear about anything -- I usually get more interested the more I learn!

Digital plumber with ≈ 7 years of professional experience in software.
I studied art in school but pivoted to computer science after realizing that audio engineering was an optimization problem.
I developed a way of reading sky brightness over the globe without a sensor.
I'd love to speak with you about your next project. Particularly interested in industrial/defense/energy spaces.
