I'm a senior software engineer with a focus in building large-scale applications using edge technologies and the Laravel framework. I have experience growing a startup to a ~$10M valuation and love fast-paced, team-oriented environments. I also do virtual reality development and consulting on the side where I've launched a number of award-winning applications in my free time.

I'm looking for an environment where I can work on exciting new technologies and can exercise my array of experience on cutting-edge products.

I've been a SWE, SWE manager, TL at FAANGs for a number of years (>13). I've been in the industry for > 20 years. I've run the gamut on work from compilers to mobile to ML to signal processing to embedded RTOS development.

I'm looking to move to a lower stress lifestyle, ideally remote part-time Golang work. I am happy to consider other roles, but want a smart team looking to offload some crunchy work. I work fine independently and remotely.

I'm a software developer with 4 years experience, primarily backend. I'm very good at debugging, optimization, and working with under-documented or legacy code. For example, at the Kansas Department of Labor, I was tasked with fixing the quarterly wage report upload process (which is used by nearly every employer in Kansas) which was timing out for large datasets. It was written in VB.NET (which I had no prior experience with) without any documentation. I rewrote it using multithreading and eliminated the timeouts, reducing the time for the state employee dataset from 27 minutes to 2 minutes.
