Summary: Bs Physics, some finance graduate courses. Most of my programming experience is from computational physics and financial data. TCL happens to be my first language. It is a command-based scripting language. Think Lisp, but where most things are also strings. Kinda hacky, but allows for very flexible syntax. https://learnxinyminutes.com/docs/tcl/

This doesn't sound at all like a marketable skill :/

I don't imagine that there are many Tcl jobs listed.

The posting said that Joe is a Tcl/Tk maintainer; presumably why he puts this on his CV is not because of Tcl's current market share, but because being a maintainer for a historically widespread language reveals a skill set.

If you ever thought of embedding Lua into something, Tcl isn't a bad alternative.
