We are a small team of designers and developers working on a p2p and e2e encrypted voice/video/text chat application. We are building on IPFS and Solana, with Vue and Nuxt. Our goal at Satellite is to create a communication tool that is easy to use, secure, and private for everyone.

We are looking for adaptable people who can help us launch our product. There are opportunities to work across multiple areas within Satellite.im.

For our (frontend) Lead Software Engineer, we need someone with significant experience in Vue/Nuxt. Our application is built on Vue2/Nuxt3, all in TypeScript. The ideal candidate will be very familiar with Vue2 and Vue3 (or, at least, very interested in the upgrades available in Vue 3 and a strong interest to help a team move towards it). Experience with Electron and Capacitor.js is also a huge plus.

This person will be comfortable balancing coding, mentoring, and helping shape the direction of our product. Our company is fully remote. You must be comfortable working asynchronously as we are spread out across timezones. You must have experience developing large Vue frontends and identifying/fixing bottlenecks and helping define and move towards best practices. You must be authorized to work in the USA or Canada, right now.

The immediate goals for this person, after starting, would include:

1. Lead the migration from Vue2/Nuxt3 to Vue3. 2. Identify and develop a plan to address multiple performance issues throughout our application 3. Work with other teams (technical and non technical) to plan out, break-down into a development plan/tickets, and begin development of new major features
