It's extremely messy and annoying to work with, to do the same thing you'd do by walking one step in Haskell you have to do five somersaults in Scala. It can't be fixed, and the Scala community thinks fixing it means hiding it behind fifty layers of fragile abstractions.

I like working clean and fast, improving development tools to increase velocity / faster debugging. Fluent enough in english to hold conf calls with US teams. I'm proactive, averagely nice and well rounded. Seeking very high speed teammates when available. I enjoy learning new paradigms too. Willing to lower hourly rate in the 40-50 usd range if needs be. Volunteering is possible depending on the domain.

Also open to FP or logic programming (lisp/clojure, haskell/scala, prolog). Especially highly formal/industrial model-driven environment.

Senior Embedded Systems Dev, currently working with bare metal C and C# for the backend, is searching for a hybrid or remote position, ideally working partime (80%), where working remotely for 2-4 weeks a few times a year is not a problem.
