Location: NYC

Remote: Either is fine.

Willing to relocate: No

Technologies: Anything. I consider myself a total generalist.

Résumé: https://www.dropbox.com/s/nry5sih4ue479xl/R%C3%A9sum%C3%A9.p...

Email: My full name all lowercase at gmail

I recently left Facebook after 12 years where I worked on all sorts of infra and products. I want to switch back to IC (I was a manager the last 6 years) and really get my hands dirty somewhere smaller.

I would consider myself a bit of a generalist extremist who just does whatever it takes to get the job done. I want to find a company where I can come in and help win in the market.

REMOTE | Pacific Time | info@lewiscampbell.tech | lewiscampbell.tech/hire.html Have a web app you’re considering rewriting? Maybe it uses older tech. Maybe your devs don’t want to touch it. Maybe you’re hoping all or some of it can be salvaged. Regardless, a rewrite can be one of the most expensive and time consuming things your company will ever do. You owe it to yourself to get a second opinion. I offer an independ…

So you are willing to write my Brainf*ck application?

Prefer FT remote but in person some % is fine, happy to help the transitions of teams to partial/full remote in hardware, been managing remotely as well as traveling globally for some time.

I like organized, accountable leadership in companies, and would love to be a part of implementing that where my talents can help, prefer working public over private. Board leadership experience in nonprofit as well as founding a few and management thereof, in food equity and job skilling for underserved populations.

I am a bulldog and get shit done :) Love people and enjoy smoothing rough terrain in high performing teams through building up, not tearing down.

About:

Spent the last 6 years as the tech lead for the Hacker Lab makerspace in Sacramento CA, most recently as its CTO.

Experience being the jack-of-all-trades for all things tech, whether that's front end web development, creating custom hardware, integrating services together, scripting/coding custom solutions, or modifying 3D printer firmware.

Looking to leverage my time/exposure to such a wide range of tech as a background for work with a company/team that values open communication & has a clear mission.

I have just under 3 years of professional experience working on a compiler. Currently taking time off between jobs but looking for a fully remote position. Occasional travel would be fine as long as my travel expenses are paid by the company. Not interested in onsite/hybrid positions. Willing to consider contracts, full time or part time.

I'm programming language agnostic (prefer to use the best language for the job) and can pick up new languages quickly. Domains that I'd be specifically interested in include web browsers, robotics and game dev but I'm also open to other domains. I prefer low level and backend development in general.

I currently work as an applied scientist/machine learning engineer where I own the complete ML development cycle. I am looking for a machine learning engineer role at a small-medium sized company. Before this I worked in academia as a computational physicist applying statistical techniques like Monte Carlo simulations and ML to problems in quantum gravity.
