Hello! My name is Cristhal and every day that I have a new video project is a happy day. I really love my work!

I have been filming and editing videos for more than 5 years now. When working on my videos I really try to look at the "big picture", trying to create sensations and pass beauty, desires and emotions. I think I achieved a unique way to edit my videos, where everything is connected and the result feels very real and natural.

I'm super responsive. I also speak Portuguese. I'm on GMT-3 timezone.

Here are some examples of my work:

So thank you for reading this. Hope we can work together, bye!

I am a strong general programmer with a focus on iOS. I am currently seeking a position that is > 80% iOS development.

Hire Me if you want:

+ An iOS developer: I have been writing for iOS since 2011, and this is my strongest (and favorite) skill

+ A full stack mobile developer: I love to write and consume my own APIs.

+ Someone with Leadership experience: I work well with customers that have any level of technical expertise. I was an Army Officer (Captain) for 5 years, and I can communicate up or down effectively.

+ An expert debugger: I frequently get code that "was written by a grad student who left 3 years ago." I love debugging, even in languages where I have little experience.

Don't hire me if you need:

- A great artist: I am good at working with artists and I can make an app match your vision. Graphic design is not my best skill.

- Someone to work on a single part of a large project long term: I love some variety and wouldn't want to be too compartmentalized

- Company has < 25 total employees or Total comp < $145k: I am looking for a stable company and an upgrade from my current position.

I've spent the last few years developing a declarative GUI programming language and implementation (https://github.com/IrisChase/IVD), it's not done yet because life happens. "should be done soon it only needs the last 5%" is the current status. The project is currently shelved while I think about where I want to take it, and I've started developing an app in TypeScript/React/Node/SQLite and debating making it an Electron app. My experience thus far is all solo projects.

I'm a software engineer with about twelve years of professional experience, primarily in a software architect role. My focus has been on highly-reliable, highly-available systems. Nearly all of my time so far has been spent in startups, but I'm looking more towards larger companies for my next position. I have experience leading small teams, and would like to grow my skills in that area with an experienced mentor. However I am also potentially open to pure-IC roles.
