I'm a software architect and lead developer possessing decades of experience in implementing high profile software projects for network television, a Fortune 500 financial services corporation, and a large e-commerce site.

I'm currently migrating a monolith application that I helped start over 15 years ago into a series of microservices. I love working with interesting technologies (e.g. I'm pushing for a functional language at the next microservice) and building tools to make myself and the rest of my team more productive.

I work at the intersection of policy and technology. My areas of expertise have been in designing tech/policy solutions and in helping organizations get from nebulous mission goals to concrete metrics for evaluation.

Hi,

I'm Grant and I'm from Santa Rosa, CA. I've been engineering for a little over 2 years now and I've built some things that I've been proud of and had a lot of fun along the way. Before that, I owned a small business that supplied guitar builders with materials, but I sold the company to focus on programming. Aside from coding, I'm into cycling (MTB, road, gravel, CX), playing guitar, craft beer, record collecting, and home coffee roasting. I'm generally a social person that works well with others, and I love learning and sharing my knowledge and I'm excited to find my next team!
