Hi, I'm Luke, a front-end leaning developer based out of Vancouver, Canada. I've been working with JavaScript (and various component libraries such as React, Vue, Angular), HTML, CSS, Python, and others for some portion of the last decade. I find a lot of satisfaction in troubleshooting obscure issues and incrementally improving products, while working with good people or solo.

I burnt out and lost my previous position after COVID hit, and since then I haven't found anything, instead I've been working on side-projects and in whatever non-tech jobs I can in the meantime :)

In my next position, I'm looking for something where I can see where my value to the customer is going. Working at too high of an abstraction level from the problems I solve isn't healthy.

I have been freelancing in python development, browser automation, web scraping, data analytics using Pandas, Web Development using Flask+Vue for 5 years now with over 60 projects delivered. I am looking to join a Data first full time contract junior level role in Data Analytics or Data Engineering. I don't get to work with SQL or Cloud services often but I am confident in my ability to work with them on a daily basis and have experience with Bigquery and AWS S3.

I find joy in problem solving through programming and assisting decision making with data. So, if you are looking for an affordable, fixed hourly payment, contract dev who is available for pair programming or be on call on your time zone (I have no social life or a full time job), I am your guy.

* Available for work after December 1st, 2021 || But available for interviews now.
