My name is Andrew, and I am a front-end web developer, experienced in building web applications with a number of different toolsets. I have been writing code for over two decades, and am looking for an engineering-focused organization that wants to deliver quality products.

When I am not building full-stack applications myself, I work smoothly with back-end developers and operations engineers to deploy high-quality code in a reliable and repeatable manner.

I have worked with a lot of technologies over the years, in various fields, shipped a few business apps (full-stack) still in use today. My primary goal is doing compilers research and publishing interesting papers. Currently focused on compilers and programming languages, with an interest in cross-language interoperability. Finding part-time work is a little bit harder than I thought! Send an email if you want to chat!

Hey,

I’ve been the founder / CTO of a few tech startups, one exit of about > $40m in 2016. Honestly since that earn out I’ve never really landed anywhere i love. I love working with people, new tools, scaling system but really hate corporate politics. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve excelled in large companies as a senior technologist, i just don’t find it brings me a lot of joy. Maybe the right situation would be different, I’m just yet to find it.

These days people tend to label me as a founder, c or vp level exec, but I'm extremely hands on technical. I pride myself on bridging the gap between the business and the technology implementation.

I recently started a hedge fund with a friend. We raised a small GP round, produced returns north of 15% for our investors on approximately $40m of capital, but i learnt i hate the hedge fund life. It was 24 hr a day work, in a 365 day / year market. A year in i realized this wasn’t for me. I’m leaving to find something more attuned to my interest and the lifestyle i want to live.

I enjoy home renovation projects, piano and hanging with my fiancé and dog in my free time.
