Hi HN- my name is Caleb and I've been trying to make a career change into being a software developer/ programmer. I started teaching myself through online bootcamps and good-ol Googling last October. Since then, I've built a few different apps including web scrapers, utility scripts and notification tools while constantly trying to learn other technologies to keep broadening my knowledge.
My background is mostly in government and customer-service oriented work where I've had a lot of time to develop my soft skills, so I believe I'd be a unique asset with many teams or companies who need someone both technical and people minded.

About me: I was a software developer for ~5 years, then I went to law school. Just graduated from there, working in biglaw, and trying to become a dev again.
My last dev job saw me build accounting software from scratch and interface with the CEO on a weekly basis to turn his business desires into manageable, spec'd engineering tickets, and my previous one saw me rearchitect our back-end API to make it RESTful and also redo our front-end in React.
Remote: yes
Willing to relocate: no, can't

Hi, I'm Scott, and I am a generalist, self-taught full stack engineer who's been in Japan for 15 years and can speak, read, and write Japanese fluently. Although I have severe hearing loss, we can absolutely address that with some basic accommodations.I'm currently the principal engineer at a small, fast-paced startup in Tokyo, where I've been leading a small team in developing a product to provide temperature measuring and alerting services to over 2,000 clients across the country in the food service, hospitality, and medical industries. I work with a Python/Django/PostgreSQL stack on ec2, but I'm also flexible and very willing to learn.
I enjoy not only the engineering side of my job, but also mentoring and growing my team members. I consider myself good at communication -- a good portion of my work involves collaborating with support, sales, and our CEO. My background also includes education, support, and sales.

Hey HN, We’re an EU based upcoming web. Currently we have four developers and looking for a place to work:
1. senior dev, mostly scala/akka ( with commits in many major scala repos ) and a ton of devops / kubernetes
2. senior dev, node/react with the usual webdev ( aws, postgres, firebase etc ). Did embedded / fpga / subghz iot work a while ago
3. junior dev with react / node / java
4. junior - mid dev with react / node
Me ( the embedded senior ) & the other senior have been playing around with elixir lately and enjoying the experience, we’d be happy to join a place where we could work with that.
Hi I'm Justin. I love both product and business side of start-ups. On the technical side, I'm mainly a Python developer, and am extremely well versed in its frameworks, libraries, and the principle of test driven development. On the business side, I have been working in operations for a FinTech firm in Toronto for almost a year, and as a business development specialist before that.
Working in Ops at a start-up, I am responsible for product testing, product demos, analyzing UI, creating wireframes, hiring talent, co-ordinating compliance events with senior management, investor relations, and more.
As a BizDev, I love helping companies grow, so I created a sales funnel and landed clients on my own as an independent consultant. I have an endorsement on LinkedIn for your reference!
I'm mainly interested in a product or engineer role. However, I would love to learn about your amazing projects so please don't hesitate to reach out!
