Hi, I'm Ivan, and I'm a new grad from University of Michigan with a wide range of skills. I've studied and worked with the guts of LLMs and ML. I'm a big fan of Rust and have experience with both low-level embedded Rust and high-level async, networked Rust. As a hobbyist game developer I also have graphics/technical art experience (check out my itch: https://tesseractcat.itch.io/).Ask HN: Who wants to be hired? (October 2024)

Been doing web development as well as iOS / Android / React-Native development remotely for the past four years. I also have experience as a indie game dev who has completed and sold games. Not looking for a particular industry, just interesting problems to work on. Recently came from the sports industry and have worked in healthcare in the past.Re: Ask HN: Who wants to be hired? I've been programming for nearly two decades and have a lot of experience in various technologies. Lately I've been learning game development in Elixir - a very weird task.I think that's where my value is, though. I love working on weird, unknown projects. Basically everyone I talked to in the Elixir community about game development said it was a waste of time, but I've been showing that it's not only possible, it's quite nice!
I'm always looking for interesting and challenging problems. My wide range of experience (both with and without computers) helps me figure out tasks that don't have prior art. I'm very capable when it comes to R&D type projects.
Honestly, if you just need someone to churn out CRUD apps, you probably don't want to hire me. But if you have some weird ideas that you don't have someone on your team to figure out, I'm your man.

Hi, I'm a software engineer with over 9 years of experience, focusing on backend. I had experience on leading developers and each phase of the SDLC, from designing the architecture for a new project to on-going maintenance for production environments. I am opened to hands-on and leadership roles, also happy to devops roles. Prefer to work in PST, also opened to work in EST. Looking forward to talk to you.Re: Ask HN: Who wants to be hired?
