  Location: PA, USA

  Willing to relocate: Yes
Technologies: Python (Flask/FastAPI), Typescript/Vue, Docker, Ansible, Astro, GIS, Scraping, Celery, etc.
  Résumé/CV: michaeltoohig.com/michael-toohig-resume.pdf
  Email: within resume
Full-stack developer (Python/Flask/FastAPI & Typescript/Vue) and previous independent contractor with nearly a decade of experience creating software solutions. My wife just got her green card so I uprooted the family from the Republic of Vanuatu and moved back to my home in the States and looking for a place to use my skills and grow further.

My past has given me a broad and unique skillset which makes it hard to write concisely but I can design projects and deploy them and everything in between and I have experience with streaming, distributed systems, a lot web dev stuff, PWA & offline-first applications, some CV and AI/ML experience including deploying, web scraping, GIS, and some minimal hardware hacking.

Location: Helsinki, Finland Remote: Yes Willing to relocate: No

Technologies: Ruby, Rails, React ( Tailwind, Redux, react-query... ), Node.js, Postgres, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Azure, AWS, CI/CD (Gitlab and Github), observability (Datadog, Sentry, Honeycomb, Grafana / Prometheus..).

Résumé/CV: With 7 years of experience in small startups to large companies I've worked across the stack doing front-end, backend and infra / dev tooling. I'm interested in setting up early stage products with a deep integration to the business side, or do well scoped feature or maintenance work on mature projects to bring them to the next level.

Bonus points for Climate Tech, Geographical Information Systems, FinTech or anything infra/ dev tooling related, but I'm open for anything with interesting challenges.

I'm a retired computer programmer so this is spur of the moment, but it occurred to me reading this thread that I'd like to help anyone using AI in the sobriety and recovery community on a volunteer basis. I've been using Claude Opus as a sponsor, sobriety coach and recovery therapist (CBT,DBT) to amazing effect. I'd like to share what I've discovered and formalize the process. If you know of any opportunities like this please let me know.
